Typically financed through crowd-funding, they are filmed with borrowed equipment and volunteer casts and crews, and viewers find them through word of mouth or by chance. The fourth in a series covering Internet TV, this book takes a comprehensive look at 1,121 comedy series produced exclusively for online audiences. Alphabetical entries provide websites, dates, casts, credits, episode lists and storylines--back cover.

Preface

Internet Comedy Television Programs, 19972015, is the fourth volume in a one-of-a-kind series that covers various genres of Internet television programming. Like the prior books (Internet Horror, Science Fiction and Fantasy Television Series, 19962013; Internet Drama and Mystery Television Series, 19962014; and Internet Lesbian and Gay Television Series, 19962014), this volume is also the only book to date that presents a history of television programs produced exclusively for the worldwide web.

Internet television programs are produced like a broadcast or cable TV series but without the big budget and, in most instances, minus name performers. When it comes to comedy programming available on the web, the viewer has a variety of choices of which show to watch. This book is not only a guide to those comedy series, but a detailed account of what they are about with story lines, casts, credits, episode lists, dates, and web addresses. (Keep in mind that web addresses listed in this volume reflect those where program information can still be found at the time of publication and are not necessarily the official websites, as many have closed since this book was first begun.) There are also accompanying photographs and a complete index.

In the arena of Internet-based comedy series, there are entries about bartenders who love you (Bar Flies) and those who detest you (The Bartender Hates You). There are enjoyable TV spoofs of shows like Charlies Angels (with Chicos Angels) and movie parodies like BabeArella (a send-up of Barbarella). There is a very elderly, still active secret agent (Agent 88), and even an obnoxious, talking piece of fruit (Annoying Orange). When it comes to odd couple roommates there are such entries as Bigfoot Roommate, Grapes Roommate (a guy living with a store-bought bunch of grapes) and American Blob (a talking rock). There is a program about an infant who fights crime (BabyMentalist), an animal detective (Llama Cop), and a gorilla who helps humans (GorillaTherapy). My Life with Sock finds a woman falling in love with a tube sock that comes to life, there is a man who believes his sons plush toy is real (Delphis), and a husband struggling to cope with his wifes come-to-life plush toy monster (A Guy, a Girl and Their Monster). If the latters premise were not strange enough, there is a bizarre mother just trying to raise her children (Brain EatinZombie Babies), a snake who runs a company (Dennis the OfficeCobra), an alien TV talk show host (The Gorburger Show), and rampaging animals (Possum Death Spree). We also have ghost hunters (Ghost Ghirls, Giving Up theGhosts), health spa spoofs (Trainers, Venus Spa), and personality and character spoofs with Kam Kardashian (the lesbian sister of Kim Kardashian), Adult Wednesday Addams (the daughter of Gomez and Morticia Addams), and Very Mary-Kate (the twin sister of Ashley Olsen). Shelf Life, Sassy Batman, Sweethearts of the Galaxy, and Vexika present super hero spoofs while Cowgirl Up and DareDoll Dilemmas offer beautiful women in a whole new light. These are only a very small sampling of what other amusing oddities are contained in the pages of this book.

The Internet has and is presenting a whole new world of television-like entertainment that, while still in its infancy, is continually growing and maturing. With this series of books about genres of web TV series, you will have the only printed record presently available of its pioneering, intriguing history.

The author would like to thank James Robert Parish for his assistance on this project.

Believing that Brooklyn, New York, offers them greater opportunities to pursue their lifes goals, four of nine gay, red-headed dysfunctional brothers (Joel, Jonas, Joseph and Jude Jasperjohns) leave their home in Ohio and head for what they believe are greener pastures. The brothers are not a bit alike, somewhat eccentric and have yet to adjust to life in a larger city. Each season is an overall look at one of a brothers eccentricities and how they attempt to either deal with it or overcome itwithout killing each other first. The other, not seen brothers are Jenkins, Jebediah, Jim, James and Geoffrey.
Cast: Jim Noonan (Jude Jasperjohns), Vinny Lopez (Joseph Jasperjohns), Tim Harrington (Jonas Jasperjohns), Michael Hartney (Joel Jasperjohns). Credits: Producer-Writer-Director: Vinny Lopez. Comment: While the brothers are eccentric they also like to use foul language. The story arcs are amusing and the acting is very good. The program itself is well done and how they deal with life being gay is only a surface issue and not one that involves sexual situations.
Season 1 Episodes: White Pants. Deals with Josephs obsession with a pair of white pants that he believes are mystical and only good things can happen to him when he wears them.
Season 2 Episodes: It. The problems the brothers face when they attempt to care for a gay dog.
Season 3 Episodes: Personal Wealth. Jude contemplates his wealth; Joseph begins a quest to discover the meaning of life (his Forever Love philosophy) and Joel faces the fact that he is turning 52.

Audrey and Corinne have been friends even before they were born (as their mothers, best friends and pregnant at the same time, planned just that and placed them together in a playpen). It worked. They remained friends through grammar and high schools and when they went their separate ways for college they stayed in touch and visited each other during spring, winter and summer breaks. Audrey and Corinne, now college graduates, have decided to move to New York to pursue their dreams of becoming actresses. Being friends and living apart appeared to be the key to their long lasting friendship as the girls are as different as night and day.
Audrey is temperamental when she doesnt get her way and becomes difficult until she calms down; Corinne has a short fuse when something does not go her way and could explode if she doesnt relax. Despite their differences, they choose to live together and stories relate their adventures as they seek those acting careersmade more difficult as they find themselves often competing against each other for the same roles (and what better way to get that role? By sabotaging the others chances, yet still remain friends).
