Photographer Anthony Neste was born in New York City.
He began his career working in film and television production as an assistant to many advertising and commercial clients. In the mid 1970s, Anthony started working for Sport Magazine and in 1980 he shot his first assignment for Sports Illustrated. This began a steady seventeen-year relationship working on an incredible variety of sporting events across the United States and Europe. He has photographed countless championship boxing matches, Wimbledon tennis, and fourteen Super Bowls for Inside the NFL. Around 1990, Anthony got involved with HBO Boxing and quickly transitioned into other entertainment work, doing everything from publicity unit stills on movie sets to music concerts and comedy specials. In 1999, he became the photographer for The Sopranos and produced some of the most memorable publicity photographs from that show. Anthony was the the Director of Photography for IMAGE Magazine, an entertainment and lifestyle magazine in Central Florida.
He is currently a contributing photographer to VOLO Magazine (www.volomagazine.com). Anthony now enjoys working on shoots that help models develop their skills and expand their portfolios with his overall creative style. Rather, I felt each photo should create an emotional reaction. Whether it creates an image in your minds eye or simply illustrates the beauty of a particular subject, we must remember that art is not in the eye of the beholder, it is in the soul of the artist. Please understand this book was not intended to be instructional on photo techniques.
Instead, I would prefer to think of it as a visual reference for taking better images of beautiful women. However, on some photos, I did let on as to the five W factswho, what, when, where, and why. I hope my photographer counterparts will walk away with some inspiration after visiting my work and the work of some outstanding models. I wish you all the best in life! Anthony Neste Fashion can assist in capturing the attitude a model is portraying or the style of the photographers aesthetic. It can reveal a hint of desire or reflect the sexuality of the model. Fashion is a tool for romanticizing or deglamorizing, for adding a touch of personal taste or a flare to minimalistic workto create a specific mood or feel to the model or work of art.
Fashion is a form of self-expression, which comes from both the model and photographer. You dont learn style from watching people on the runway; style is created by the industry. Every day is a fashion show and the world is your runway. Coco Chanel Fashion photography is about making a creative statement and pulling off a concept while prompting the model to sustain a mood and provide emotion. In Miami, shooting on the streets of South Beach without a permit is a no-no. But when you have an assistant to hold a light and a model who knows how to work fast, you can get it done quickly.
This image was shot for Blackstone Apparel. In just the two minutes we were shooting, a crowd of twenty people gathered behind me. I didnt even know they were there until I turned around! For photographers: I used my Nikons rear curtain feature to shoot this hand-held at 1/15 second with a beauty dish for the main light. It is the aim to capture an image spontaneously while communicating natural beauty and inner emotion to the lens, thus making an impact on the viewer.
