Acknowledgments

First, I would like to thank God for granting me the ability to participate in an amazing profession, which has allowed me the opportunity to touch so many lives.

Ive had a passion for photography for as long as I can remember. But it wasnt until I met photographer Bruce Houston, who photographed my wedding in 1983, that my career really took off. Bruce sold me my first camera and encouraged me to start taking pictures. Thanks, Bruce.

I would also like to thank some very talented professional photographers who helped shape my skills along the way. A heartfelt thank you to Janice Jones, Dean and Sunny Arren, Aromando Chacon, Ned Bosnick, Unice Sandu, and Carol Andrew Jenson who taught me to see the light. Thank you all for sharing your time and talent with me when I needed it most.

A special thanks to Dave Gosson for being a good friend and referring me to San Jacinto College, where Ive been teaching photography for the past twelve years. Finally, a huge thank you to Mr. Dwight Green, also a good friend and traveling partner, who helped and supported me throughout the writing process.
