A Time To Act: Black History Matters: summary, description and annotation

We offer to read an annotation, description, summary or preface (depends on what the author of the book "A Time To Act: Black History Matters" wrote himself). If you haven't found the necessary information about the book — write in the comments, we will try to find it.

This book may appear to be controversial to some readers. However, it is the product of many years of observation, research, soul-searching, and discovery. My intention is for this book to be enlightening and thought-provoking, as it is not my character to be disrespectful to any individual, race, or organization.
My passion for this work is evident in my writing style. I felt compelled to speak up, inform, draw conclusions, and offer relevant recommendations. Changes can only happen when we are not afraid to be frank, when we are inspired to be the first to begin a journey, when we are strong enough to face any criticism, and we dare to try over-and-over again.
In this book, I have covered many topics. You may find some subjects may not be relatable to the next. However, I have divided the topics into sections to make them easier for you to read. At the end of each chapter or section, I provide a summary.
In part one of this book, the long journey I talk about began in July 1983, when I made a solemn promise to my mother that I would help the family. The doctor sent my mother home to wait for her last day on this planet due to breast cancer. I was about 17 years old.
When the time has come for us to serve, we must respond to the call. Many of us go through life thinking that life has no meaning, or we are waiting for someone else to do things, when in fact, we are the architect of what we want our life to be and what we can build with it.
Living in the diaspora, I discovered many Haitian descents and other people who do not know much about Haitis unique history and why Haiti is the most impoverished nation in the Americas. I have provided my opinion on this so you can have a better understanding of Haiti and what we, the Haitian people, need to do to bring Haiti into the twenty-first century. We have the political and economic vitality in the diaspora to help our fellow Haitians in Haiti better themselves and the country. I believe the time to change Haiti is upon us. It is A Time To Act.
As a former candidate for State Representative District 45 in Florida, a US Navy veteran, and a businessman, I know a bit about politics, teamwork, and leadership. Ive outlined my vision for a new Haiti as an attainable goal if we, the Haitian people in Haiti and those in the diaspora, desire to change Haiti for the betterment of all Haitians.
In this book, I elaborate on the theory of human originality based on credible sources. What I am conveying is that we are all human beings. We are connected one way or the other. Therefore, it is a time to act in the interest of all mankind regardless of color or where we live on this planet.
Many Black countries, Black communities, and Black people have been victims of exploitation, invasion, manipulation, and unfair treatment. In this book, I explain the importance of the power to forecast and the power of symmetry. I offer examples of how these two powerful words can be helpful in our day-to-day lives.
Some of the United Nations unfortunate deployments have caused many problems in Black countries, especially Haiti and some African countries. I have provided some ideas for a better United Nations that may save us from a potentially destructive World War III.
Lastly, I have provided my own opinion for the Americas renewed alliances and the negative development facing the United States of America that may threaten our national security.

Table of Contents

Preface

I dedicate this book to my late mother and father, my wife, children, sisters, brothers, cousins, business partners, and many other people I have had the pleasure of knowing throughout the years.

In this book, I talk about my life experience as a farmworker, a veteran of the United States Navy, a businessman, and a promise that I made to my mother before she passed away in 1983 due to breast cancer.

Living in the diaspora, many of Haitian descent do not know much about Haitis unique history. Therefore, I also provide my opinion on Haitian history and how the Haitians in the diaspora and those in Haiti could work together to change Haiti for the better.

As people of African descent, we must know our heritage to understand better who we are and what we need to do to strengthen our global presence. We are scattered all over the planet, but we are very weak on many fronts. So, I talk about our mistakes and what we need to do to elevate ourselves to a new echelon on the world stage.

Furthermore, I provide my opinion about some of the United Nations unfortunate deployments in Black countries that have caused many problems.

As a Haitian-American, I also talk about the United States massive division that poses a threat to our national security and what we may have to do to change the negative development facing the United States of America.

Acknowledgments

In every project, it takes a great team to bring all the elements together. I want to thank the following people for helping me along the way to finish this book, either directly or indirectly.

My mother, Margarite Civil Jusme, passed away when I was 17 years old. However, her great courage, integrity, understanding, and compassion for humanity left a permanent impression on my life. Her examples have been the cornerstone of my daily endeavors. My mother believed in three simple things to be successful: education, work ethic, and prudence. Ive used her examples throughout my life and call her philosophy the triangle of success.

My father, Dieusius Jusme, believed nothing is impossible if you put your mind and soul into it. I also use my fathers philosophy in everything I do. Therefore, I take everything I do seriously, including writing this book. At times, I have been discouraged about writing this book. But my dad never quit, regardless of what he had to do to make it work. He never stopped until he accomplished the task. His type of fortitude taught me to endure through life.

My English teacher from Delaware Tech, Mrs. Rice, when I was in school there, from 1989 to 1992, people might have thought that Mrs. Rice was prejudiced against me because she is a white lady. But I knew she was not. I failed English multiple times, and Mrs. Rice sincerely wanted me to learn English properly. She labored with me as only an earnest educator would. My English is still a work in progress, but Mrs. Rices impact on my life is apparent in every complete sentence in this book.

Chapter 1:
Long Journey in Haiti

I was born in Haiti in a small village called Poirier near St. Marc. The area is very undeveloped even to this day, 35 years since I left it. My parents decided to send me and the rest of my brothers and sisters to Gonaives, Haiti, a city north of the capital, to introduce us to better schools and a better way of life.

I made a promise to my mother in July 1983, when I was about 17 years old. I saw my mother appeared to be sad, with tears in her eyes. I approached her and asked her what happened? She replied, I feel like I will not live to see you guys grow up, and I will not be there to make sure you have a good education and become the good citizens I want you all to be.
