A lthough there are several characters in Top Secret Twenty-One who could technically be called antagonists, the main antagonist of this novel is Jimmy Poletti, a well-known local used car salesman in New Jersey, who has run afoul of the law. It has become apparent that used cars arent all hes been selling. After being arrested, he had posted bail, but failed to appear in court at the appointed time. As dead bodies begin to accumulate, it falls to Stephanie Plum, a bounty hunter, to find Jimmy and bring him to justice before he can do any further harm to anyone.
