Ebook, 2015. 294 p.The photographs on these pages are from a private photograph collection taken during the Vietnam War by a combat medic in Vietnam. He spent much of his time with the 25th ID between August 5, 1967 and July 28, 1968, the time period of these photographs. At that time he was assigned to the 1/27th Wolfhounds, 25th Infantry Division. This is the Black & White photograph version. Many young men, the baby boomers, were involved in the Vietnam War in the days of the United States military draft. Those who were there well remember the war and the loss of friends. There was anger by the general population towards our own country concerning the involvement and many protests were done against the war. Many refer to those days as the days of Hanoi Jane and lying John.

He spent much of his time with the 25th ID between August 5, 1967 and July 28, 1968. At that time he was assigned to the 1/27th Wolfhounds, 25th Infantry Division. You may see yourself or someone you know in some of these views. Images were scanned from original negatives, photographs and slides using high resolution. Sizes were adjusted for this book per technical requirements. The photographs were not retouched but were sized for viewing in this publication.

Due to the age of negatives, some negatives showed damage and were not used. However, in order to get the best of both worlds images previously made from those negatives are included. Please bear in mind that these are real life photographs, not professionally staged. The mentality of the population was as it was in 1967 and 1968 with the age of the men being young. These photographs match right in to songs you hear from the Vietnam War era and viewing some may bring those songs to mind. Those who were there well remember those days.

Unfortunately many lost friends who didnt make it home. Most photographs were taken in color but are placed here in black and white due to excessively high publishing costs for color and it is doubtful that few would want to pay the color cost for a book. *

WARNING
This book has a chapter titled Dead VC. It contains just that, images of DEAD VC, some being very gruesome pictures of VC which were killed during fire fights in Vietnam. If you feel you will suffer any negative effects from viewing these images DO NOT ... C. C.

Kraft and this book author accept no responsibly from any negative effects resulting from the viewing of these images. These files were included because the photographer feels everything about Vietnam should be portrayed both good and bad. Horrible death is a direct consequence of war and should be included in any portrayal. Death serves as a reminder of the worst of war and hopefully will become a deterrent to those that choose to use war as a tool to resolve political problems. Sorry about all this accepts no responsibility talk, but this is the kind of world we now live in. M. C. C.
