Introduction
Who Is the Book Meant For?
In
101 Dialogues, Sketches and Skits the focus is on dialogue and language, used in creative interactions with others.
The book can be used by everyone who enjoys reading dialogues and performing role-playing dialogues. It is written primarily for drama coaches, teachers, and activity leaders working with students ranging in age from 12 to 18 years old, providing them with a way to use dialogues in a game format. However, these original theatre texts can also be used by professional and non-professional theatre-training groups of any age. The short theatre texts can be used without much preparation, and longer dialogues can be rehearsed under the guidance of a leader. Ranging from the straightforward to the surprisingly complex, these texts are funny and serious, unrealistic and realistic, and much more. A leader or drama coach can also use the dialogues as games by approaching them in a spirit of creativity and play.
