Renae N. Batti, MN, RN, CNOR
is the associate vice president for perioperative and GI services for CHI Franciscan Health System, responsible for coordinating the perioperative, GI, and sterile processing departments at their five hospitals in the greater Tacoma, Washington area. Her previous roles were in academic and private nonprofit multicampus systems. She has experience in OR design/construction, surgical information system implementations, specialty team development, and just culture. Renae was honored to receive the AORN Award for Outstanding Achievement in Perioperative Nursing Management in 2010. She is a member of the Seattle Chapter, Washington State Council, and currently serves as the national AORN President-Elect.
Judith Sims Billings, RN, PhD
is a retired nursing school administrator. She has a bachelor's degree from Fort Hays Kansas State University and master's degree and PhD from the University of Minnesota. In 1965, she began her career in nursing as a staff nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital. Judy began teaching nursing in 1968; she taught at St. Francis School of Nursing in Grand Island, Nebraska, and South Dakota State University. In 1976, she returned to Kearney to develop the nursing program at the University of Nebraska Kearney (aka Kearney State College), which she administered for 25 of the next 29 years. She retired from University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing Kearney as the assistant administrator. Since retirement, Judy has volunteered in several positions in Good Samaritan Health Systems.
Kimber Bonner, RN, MSN, BSN
is the director of Intensive Care Unit and Neuro Trauma at Good Samaritan Hospital (GSH). Kimber received her bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and masters in nursing with emphasis in management and leadership through Walden University. She has been employed at GSH since 1997.
Larry E. Bragg, MD
is a member of the Good Samaritan Hospital (GSH) medical staff, providing general surgery services to the region since 1991. Dr. Bragg has provided strong medical staff leadership by serving in various offices, including medical staff president and as chairman of the following: Credentials Committee, Critical Care Committee, Medical Executive Committee, Performance Improvement Council, Surgery Department, and Bylaws/Accreditation Committee. Dr. Bragg currently serves as the trauma medical director and trauma committee chair for GSH's level II trauma center. He is also a physician member of GSH's Integrated Leadership Team.
Sam Brandt, MD, DABFP
is the CMIO for Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI). His healthcare career began as a family practice physician, followed by a hospital medical director position. He has worked in the informatics world for 15 years, serving as CMIO for a clinical systems vendor immediately prior to joining CHI.
Jennifer (Jenni) Bringardner, RN, MHA, FACHE
is the administrative vice president of the CHI National Cardiovascular Service. With over 30 years of healthcare experience, her background includes cardiovascular nursing, cardiac business development, strategy, marketing, and service line growth and development. In addition to a nursing degree, Ms. Bringardner holds a bachelor of arts in organizational management and a master of health administration. She is a member of the American College of Cardiovascular Administrators and is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
