Although it would seem that lower commissions, faster order execution, rapid dissemination of information, and advanced trading analysis software would combine to contribute to greater success and more profits for investors and traders, I do not believe that this has been the case. High-frequency trading, dark pools, and insider trading and have given the distinct edge to professional traders who have been able to game the system and gain a decided advantage over the average individual. It is becoming more difficult to make money, even with the advanced tools that we have. I believe that it is possible to have a more level playing field, provided we are educated in proper procedures and effective trading methodologies. Accordingly, the information in this book is directed toward that end, and I dedicate this book to the many thousands of day traders to come to the game with great ambition, a measure of hope, and optimistic expectations. If my trading structure and tools can bring positive outcomes to even a small percentage of those who read this book, then I feel I will have contributed some good to a business that has brought so much good to me. Clearly, what I teach, what I use, and what I have learned are not sure things; but they have structure, good logic, and objectivityall of which contribute meaningfully to bottom-line success. I welcome constructive feedback and questions from my readers.
