HOW TO WASH
A CHICKEN
Washing a chicken is not a difficult task, I said to the audience. Anyone can do it. If you are taking your bird to a poultry show, you really should give it a bath ahead of time to ensure the chicken looks its best. You just have to remember to keep the bird under control, use a gentle soap and dry the chicken thoroughly so it doesnt catch a cold. It was a cool day in March 1973. I was eight years old and giving my first official presentation at a competition sponsored by 4 -H , an organization for young people.
