    About the authors

    Kevin L. Jackson is a globally recognized cloud computing expert, technology thought leader, and CEO/founder of GovCloud Network, LLC. Mr. Jacksons commercial experience includes being vice president of J.P. Morgan Chase and worldwide sales executive at IBM. He has deployed mission applications to the US Intelligence Community cloud computing environment (IC ITE), and he has authored and published several cloud computing courses and books. He is a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).

    Thank you to my coauthor, Scott Goessling, whose knowledge and insight has greatly enhanced me both professionally and personally. My love and sincere admiration go out to my children Lauren, Lance, and Karl, who, in their journey through life, fill me with pride every day. And finally, AMLAD to the best part of my own lifes journey, my wife, Lisa. You are my everything!

    Scott Goessling is the COO/CTO for Burstorm and helped create the worlds first automated Cloud Solution Design platform. He has lived and worked in the Philippines, Japan, India, Mexico, France, and the US. Being an expert in many technologies, Scott has also been a part of several successful start-ups, including a network hardware innovator that was acquired for over $8B.

    Scott's perspectives combine many real-world experiences. He is interested in nutrition therapy, home renovation, custom car restoration, cooking, photography, sculpture, and, most importantly, parenting.

Siva is an alumni of IIM Bangalore and also has a double major in engineering from Bits, Pilani. He currently focuses on hybrid cloud initiatives bridging public clouds and on-premise data-centers.

    Travis Truman has 20+ years of experience in the technology industry. His previous roles include software engineering, software product architecture, SaaS platform architecture, and VP of engineering in several Philadelphia-area start-ups. Travis is a regular contributor to open source software, and he has contributed code to OpenStack, Ansible, GopherCloud, Terraform, Packer, Consul, and many other projects powering modern cloud computing. He currently works as a cloud architect focused on OpenStack, AWS, and Azure for a Fortune 50 media and technology company based in Philadelphia.
