Why another e-book about kidney stones?

Most of them are no good.

I've read a lot of material dealing with kidney stones, e-books included, and the e-book category is weak when it comes to kidney stones. Most deal with the same basic information concerning kidney stones that can be found on the Internet for free, i.e.-technical definitions, different types, etc.

I will be including some of this basic information regarding kidney stones in this e-book, but more importantly I will be providing first-hand, essential, immediate information for dealing with kidney stones in the present as well as mitigating their formation in the future.

Since 75-80% of all kidney stones are Calcium Oxalate stones, their formation and prevention will be primarily addressed, although brief mention will be made of other types of kidney stones.

I created www.kidneystone911.com where I provide general kidney stone information and a forum for kidney stone sufferers around the world. What I have found is that readers are looking for immediate relief and advice for dealing with kidney stone pain and are looking for reliable information on prevention or at least mitigation.

Why me?

You may be wondering what expertise I have on the subject of kidney stones. Good question. I have suffered from multiple kidney stones, five to be exact. While that may be more than some, it is by far less than many. Two of my kidney stone episodes required medical attention, including an overnight hospital stay. The remainder I have dealt with on my own and have been successful.

I have also gathered many stories from KS911 readers around the world suffering from chronic kidney stones and their ordeals will make your toes curl. Not fun. Their stories reveal the tremendous pain and suffering kidney stones cause regardless of race or ethnicity.

My mother, father, sister and uncle have all suffered from kidney stones. My grandfather had a kidney removed in his sixties from complications. Family history and genetics have a large role to play in the formation of kidney stones. Nevertheless there are proven treatments to help lessen the frequency and severity of nephrolithiasis and renal colic.

Having suffered through numerous kidney stone episodes and having listened to kidney stone sufferers from around the world, there still seems to be a lack of relevant information for immediate kidney stone pain relief and prevention. Kidney stone sufferers want easy, low-cost and safe solutions.

What can you expect?

The more you know about kidney stones, their formation and your body the better you will be able to deal with passing them and preventing them in the future.

I've bought many of the current home remedy solutions found on the Internet. I've tried different remedies posted on YouTube. Some have been a rip-off, I'll admit. Some have a grain of truth to them and are actually in use in many urology offices around the country.

I'll share some home remedies with you as well as book reviews and provide some resources that have been helpful to me and many of my readers.

The Pain!

If you have had a kidney stone episode then you know the pain. I'm assuming since you are reading this that you probably know all about the pain. There is a slight chance that you may be reading this in order to provide help and comfort to someone you care about. Good for you!

There is no magic formula to get rid of existing kidney stones or prevent them from occurring in the future. Sorry. No magic bullet. You can, however, accelerate the painful passing period and combine proven prevention measures and lifestyle changes to reduce the number of stones and their frequency and potentially rid yourself of stones forever!

There are also practical ways of alleviating the immediate pain and understanding how kidney stones are formed in order to change the kidney stone formation cycle.
