Millions of other strange and interesting plants and animals live in the rain forests. Of all the kinds, or species, of plants on Earth, more than half live there. Scientists are still discovering new insects in the forest.
Many of the animals of the rain forests do not live anywhere else on Earth. The maues marmoset is a new species of monkey in the Amazon rain forests in South America. It is so small, it can fit in the palm of a person's hand.
