About the Author

Kris Brandt Riske, M.A., is executive director and a professional member of the American Federation of Astrologers, the oldest U.S. astrological organization, founded in 1938. She is also a member of the NCGR (National Council for Geocosmic Research) and served on its board of directors.

Kris has been a speaker at various astrological conferences and has written for several astrological publications. She currently writes for Llewellyns Sun Sign Book , Llewellyns Moon Sign Book , and American Media. Kris is also the author of Mapping Your Future and Mapping Your Money and co-author of Mapping Your Travels & Relocation . She is particularly interested in astrometeorology (astrological weather forecasting) and is the author of Astrometeorology: Planetary Power in Weather Forecasting and the annual weather forecast published in Llewellyns Moon Sign Book .

Kris is an avid stock car (NASCAR) fan, although shed rather be driving than watching. She also enjoys gardening, needlework, and computer gaming. An Illinois native, Kris has a masters degree in journalism and is a Chinese language student.

INTRODUCTION

S ome people are content with the present, while others live in the past. Then there are those people, like me, who live in the future.

Maybe its because of my Aquarius Sun, or some other influence Ive yet to identify, but Ive always wanted to know about the future and what would happen and when. This was my main motivation to learn astrology. I didnt fully comprehend at the time how useful astrology could be in predicting the future; I just knew the subject was worth pursuing, and this has proved to be true time and again.

After all, life really is about the future. The past is history, albeit of great benefit to us as a learning experience. The present is a nanosecond at best. The future is what we have to look forward to, the days and months and years during which we can take advantage of life and our innate talents. The future is all about the choices we have yet to make. Life is also about timing. When you know the timing and what the future might bring, you are better prepared to take advantage of lifes opportunities and to minimize lifes challenges. You are reading this book because youre one of the wise souls who knows, or at least senses, that your future can be far more promising with this knowledge.

If you heed the messages of the astrological chart, you can better live your life to its fullest. You will know when your realistic hopes and wishes can come true. When a soul mate will enter your life. When you will achieve your career goals. When saving is better than spending. When to take it easy to avoid an accident.
