Acknowledgement
Writing a book is creative work. This cant be accomplished without support, guidance, and inspiration from people around you. During this journey right from thinking of a book and publishing a book, there were many such people who helped to achieve this.
To begin with I am thankful to the entire team of BPB for their continuous support and guidance. I would also like to thank my wife Tejaswini for her inputs during this process. She has been always an inspiration to me right from my first book. I would also like to thank my students, my friends who constantly kept me motivated by suggesting that this book is needed for everyone.
I would also like to thank my parents for their blessings and of course last but not least to my lovely son, Ojas for his patience during this wonderful journey.
Preface
This book is the complete digest about how you can crack Java interviews. Getting successful in an interview is the result of a lot of systematic preparation. Of course, you should have the knowledge, but along with that, you should know how to represent your knowledge in the interview. You should know what type of questions would be asked and how to answer them precisely. This book covers all the aspects of Java interviews which you can come across in top IT companies.
This book provides you information about the entire interview process right from how your profile is shortlisted and how should you prepare for a non-technical interview round. Though this book does not give you much scope for hands-on, you will get enough interview questions on Java, J2EE, and so on. As in the case of an actual interview, the interviewer is most interested in conceptual knowledge rather than implementation this book talks about all the concepts of Java. Instead of teaching you concepts in Java and then sharing the questions, the book teaches you all the concepts through the questions.
The attempt has been done so as to cover all the concepts of Java which are important for the interview. To achieve this, the book is divided into chapters. These chapters cover Java architecture, OOPs, Exception handling, Concurrency, and lot many other features. Along with Java industry is also using different frameworks like Spring, Spring boot, Hibernate, and so on. The book also covers different interview questions on these frameworks.
Chapter 1: The Preparation Beyond Technology
This topic covers mostly nontechnical stuff for fresher candidates. What are the opportunities, how should they present themselves, and what roles they are fit in, are discussed in this topic. The focus of this topic is to bridge the gap between the industry and the candidates.
Chapter 2: Architecture of Java
This topic is a general topic that will discuss the architectural information about Java. It will start the journey right from the version information of Java and different new concepts introduced in those versions. This topic will also cover how java internally works from converting the source code to executable files and also some of the other file systems which are available in JDK or JRE.
Chapter 3: Object Orientation in Java
This topic will describe the different concepts of an object-oriented language. And this will discuss in detail every implementation of the same in terms of Java. This topic will cover all the concepts of OOPs including abstract classes, interfaces, and so on, which forms one of the most important parts of the interview for freshers.
