Trevor was the most amazing tortoise that youd ever hope to meet.
His shell was old and creaky, and he had worn out all his feet.
He plodded slowly round the garden and often slept all day.
Munching grass out in the sunshine, he watched the children play.
WOW! A tortoise! they would giggle, Can he spin round on his shell?
No not poor Trevor, was the answer; Hes too old and not too well!
But what the children didn't know, was that in the darkest part of the night,
Trevor did something fantastic, a truly marvellous, awesome sight!
He curled his head up small and tightly, tucked his feet in, toes as well,
And as he wriggled slowly backwards, something popped up in his shell.
A computer shot up from the curvy bit inside his magic home.
A cloak, a helmet and some goggles, fire boots and a mobile phone!
His computer started flashing and the big red light was blinking,
Adventure time, said Trevor, his mission got him thinking
His rocket boosters fired up, his shell began to rumble,
Then WHOOSH! he zoomed through the air, and bumped down in the jungle!
Trevor heard some growling down on the jungle floor.
Carefully he crept towards the sound and saw a mighty paw!
Armed with his fire boots and helmet, he moved the grass; and underneath,
He couldn't quite believe his goggles There were the most enormous teeth!
Trevor popped inside his shell, and grabbed some scissors for the task.
His mission was to give the lion a haircut: better make it fast!
He started snipping, oh so quiet but then he met with HUGE wide eyes,
Animals all around the jungle could hear old Trevors mighty cries!
He stuffed the hair into his shell, the lion roared a mighty ROAR!
And just as Trevor fired upwards, the lion swiped out with his paw!
WHOA! That was close and rather scary, Trevor yelled as he turned to leave.
Boots a-blazing he grabbed his treasure, a sight no-one would believe!
As he flew across the jungle, creatures looked up at the night
To see a magic flying tortoise vanish quickly out of sight!
The next day Trevors shell was aching and he let out a tired stretch.
With soft lions mane as a pillow he wondered where hed visit next?!
