How to Make the Paper Beads
Cut the paper strips as noted in the diagram below (also refer to the Paper Bead Chart). Note that millimeters are the measurement units used in the diagram. If youd prefer to work in inches, conversions are provided below.
Roll the beads using a bamboo skewer, then secure with a dab of glue (refer to for basic technique).
Apply a coating agent to the beads.
How to Make the Bracelets
String the beads onto the nylon cord. Insert the nylon cord through the beads again so they are double strung.
Knot the ends of the nylon cord three times. Apply a dab of glue to the knot. Trim the excess cord, leaving short ends.
Hide the cord ends by inserting them through a few beads.
Cut each piece of embroidery floss in half to create two 6 in (15 cm) pieces for each color.
Fold the pieces of embroidery floss in half and loop them around the bracelet.
Make a single knot, as shown below.
Trim the embroidery floss 3/41 in (22.5 cm) from the knot.
How to Make a Single Knot
Wrap the end around the cord
Pull the end
Tighten the knot
Two-Tone Bracelets
These bold bracelets will add a pop of color to any outfit. Use drawing paper to create matte beads inspired by natural stone. White works well as an accent color, but the possibilities are endless.
