Its less likely than a shipwreck ,
but an airplane can crash into
the water . Surviving such a
crash is rare , but it is possible . A
person in that situation should
stay calm and try to grab what is
needed to survive.
In the past years , there have been more

Anatomy of Anatomy of
a Shipwreck a Shipwreck
If you are knocked
overboard , a life
jacket will keep your
head above water .
A raft or other
flotation device
will keep you out
of the water until
help arrives .
There are many reasons ships
sink . Sometimes , a ship crashes
into rocks , ice , reefs , or other objects . If
a hole forms in the hull or body , water floods
into the ship . If too much water flows inside , it will
begin to sink . Other times , ships carry too much weight
and tip over during a storm . Can you find the five key things
below that will help someone survive this wreck ?
