As a public service, our not-for-profitorganization is preparing this Guide because there is NO OTHERCOMPREHENSIVE LIST in existence of places people can surf withoutworrying about sharks. During these times of accelerated lifestyle, few things make people as happy as a relaxed day at the beach orenjoying the surf. What the world needs most right now is happyvibrant loving people who get back to nature so that they can bethe best person they can be and elevate this planet to a higherstate. This Guide was researched by world's most televisedsurfer Veronica Grey, recognized by the media as The Queen ofSurfing and by her super friend John John Florence as http://www.BestSurferOfAllTime.com .
She also invented and trademarked the worlds first ever and onlyline of shark repellent wetsuits, swimwear, rash guards, boardshorts, and surfboards. Visit http://www.Facebook.com/SwimWithoutSharks or eBay to get yours!!!
Finally, founder of our not-for-profitorganization Veronica Grey shares the Special Humanitarian Awardwith
Leonardo DiCaprio for their tirelessefforts to salvage the environment, namely with their documentarytitled, Worst Shark Attack Ever. This critically acclaimed filmpropelled her to A list status and it also features The Cure.
As such, we present this Guide because peopleassume there are dangerous sharks everywhere and this is simply notthe case. Have you ever been to a tropical destination where thewater was almost as warm as a bath? Well, predatory sharks don'tlike warm baths. So whether it be the climate or lack of sharkbaitor them sadly being hunted or latitude and longitude, thankfullythere are places on this planet where one can still swim and surfwithOUT the likelihood of getting bitten by a shark.
Take a look at this graph that shows 5whopping areas in just one region of the world with ZERO sharkfatalities ever documented:
This graph only highlights Central Americabut is just an example of how we based our ratings on where togo.
Every destination we present has beenresearched on Google for not just shark attacks but also for evensimply shark sightings.
We must disseminate this information to thepublic because their fear discourages them from stepping intoliquid which is why we need to let the masses know WHERE there havebeen no documented sharks! We also know there are few things inlife better than surfing so this book will revolutionize the surfindustry. Too much media focuses on sharks to scare the public;this will be the first FEARLESS Guide of its kind!
CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT THERE IS NOCOMPREHENSIVE LIST ANYWHERE OF SHARK ATTACK-FREEDESTINATIONS???
THIS INFORMATION IS HIGH IN DEMAND NOTJUST FOR SURFERS, BUT FOR EVERYONE WHO LOVES THE BEACH.
Make sure you get a copy for the coffee-tableof every beachloving sunworshipper in your life!
How to use this Guide.
First of all, our definition of shark-free inan ocean where sharks can technically go wherever they choose isthere has never been a WELL-DOCUMENTED sighting or attack there inthe past century.
Next,
for example, a country like Malaysia may have10 promoted great surf destinations. If we mention one inparticular, such as Desaru, that is the particular location we haveresearched to be shark attack-free. It does not automatically meanthe other 9 locations have sharks, but it just means that we cansay there have been no recorded sightings or attacks at thislocation, and so we can say because Malaysia has at least one beachwithout shark attacks, it makes the list as a shark attack-freecountry. Is it any surprise how so many countries did not make thelist because there is not one single shark-free beach? Even iftheir sharks are "way out to sea," what's to stop them fromswimming close to shore one day? So we did not list that countrybecause we cannot assume the responsibility for someone taking ourword that there is no real threat of sharks and then being hurt byone. In fact, reading any further is your consent that you totallyrelease our not-for-profit organization across the board from anyliabilities associated from reading this Guide, which we have donethe very best to present with Integrity because one of our foundersis terrified of sharks and will not go anywhere that they have evenbeen spotted. An avid surfer who loves nothing more in life, herfear of sharks is what gave birth to this book.
Also, in between each country we outlineeither a lifesaving water safety tip in case you come intoproximity with a shark or share interesting facts / anecdotes aboutsharks, thus making this Guide the all-encompassing go to book fora more relaxing enjoyable experience in the water. This directoryis indispensable for every surfer or sunbather or watersporter orconcerned parent or traveler planning a vacation.
Even if you are a tough macho surfer notconcerned about sharks because you know how to handle yourself andhave years of experience and talk to locals to get the lay of everynew land, why would you wanna surf anywhere not listed in thisGuide (?) because if it isn't listed that means either it has sharkissues or isn't as comparatively high-rated or both.
If we list a surf spot without naming thecity or region it is in within a country that is because it is avery popular destination with directions easily found online. Weare a Guide to WHERE one can surf safely but it is up to you tofind your way there. Just like surfing, if you can't paddleyourself to the outside wave, you have no business beingthere.
We did our best to list a minimum of 10beaches per country that are relatively safe in comparison to theother beaches in that country, especially if that country is famousfor its waves. For example we really really wanted to qualify a lotmore beaches in Brazil but simply could not because of ourstringent "no well documented sightings criteria. But if you arewilling to vouch for the safety of a surfing beach, contact us onthe following page and we will happily and gratefully add thedestination.
We simply did not list a surf destinationthat is shark attack or sighting-free if the waves did notconsistently rate at least decent or "two stars out of five"according to experienced reliable sources such as popular surfwebsites, magazines, and locals. Absolute beginners as we allonce were who have never caught a wave LEARN in two star waves, just to give you a point of reference.
