The Sight Words Plus system incorporates the many words on those many lists, gathered over many years.

Knowing sight words and wall words is essential for reading fluency and classroom learning. Sight words are words that are used frequently but may be difficult to sound out or may be confused with other words. Because children often have trouble reading sight words phonetically, they can benefit instead from the whole word approach in which they memorize each word. Wall words are words that teachers commonly emphasize in the classroom to improve reading and learning skills. Although many of these words are used in the classroom, they may not be used regularly at home and children can benefit greatly from memorizing each word. To help your child have fun while memorizing these important words, use these flash cards and try to incorporate these words into your child's daily routine.

This book contains 16 different sets of words. Rather than going through all the sets of words at once, focus initially on one or two sets of words at a time. When your child masters each set individually, you can alternate between sets and go through multiple sets at a time. With repetition and context clues, your child should quickly master these important words. [NOTE] This workbook is designed to be read one page at a time. When you read this workbook on a computer or an e-reader device capable of displaying more than one page at a time, you should change the layout to show only one page on the screen at a time.
