Meridian tapping is a recognised way to provide relief from emotional trauma; great or small. It is based upon a blend of acupuncture and mind/body medicine that is well established. The author has been using various tapping techniques personally for many years to enhance her own health and well-being. She has been recommending tapping in its more comprehensive form for many of her patients over the past five years as a self-help exercise.

From the success of this experience and her work with pregnant women and young mothers, using techniques of ritual and rhythm, she wrote this simple routine to introduce the concept of patting for comfort to infants and young children. Currently, the author is training as an EFT practitioner. Amrita, her talented daughter, was badgered into doing the illustrations one holiday despite her busy life.
