Peter von Ovenis an experienced Technical Consultant, who for the past 25 years has been working with customers and partners designing technology solutions. In his career, Peter has presented at key IT events such as VMworld, IP EXPO and various VMUG and CCUG events. He has also worked in senior pre-sales and pre-sales management roles for Fujitsu, HP, Citrix, and VMware, and has been awarded VMware vExpert for the last seven years and VMware vExpert EUC for the last two years.

Today, Peter is the Chief Technology Officer at Datashield, UK, a security and digital workspace specialist consultancy that delivers secure digital transformation projects to corporate, enterprise and public sector customers and helps bring new and innovative technologies to the market.

It was back in 2011 that Peter got his taste for writing when he was assisting with some of the chapters in Building End-User Computing Solutions with VMware View. This led him to write 14 other books and create videos based on VMware end user computing solutions.

Outside of work, Peter volunteers his spare time as a STEM Ambassador helping, coaching and mentoring young people in taking up careers in technology.

Tom Howarthis an IT executive with over 20 years of work experience. He offers consultation services to private and public sector companies. He has rich experience with a number of IT systems and specializes in virtualization and infrastructure design utilizing VMware technology to provide efficient and highly available Cloud based platforms that are also cost-effective and more importantly support resilient application delivery in the Datacentre and Public Cloud. Toms previous customers include large IT support providers and technology integrators, government departments and NGOs with whom he has earned a reputation for being diligent in solving problems in a timely and cost-effective manner.

He has been awarded VMware vEXPERT every year since its inception (currently for 13 years), VMware vEXPERT NSX (for 4 years), vEXPERT PRO (for 2 years) and vEXPERT Cloud Provider (for 2 years). Furthermore, he has been awarded HashiCorp Ambassador for 2020 in its inaugural year and again for the second time in 2021.
