Introduction
PopCap Games has one shooter game to be proud of in Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare. Though far from perfect, this third person class-based video game is complex, violent, and reminiscent of the Battlefield series from DICE. It is also very colorful and visually stunning. But the highlight of the game is the layout of asymmetrical classes between the factions of Plants and Zombies. There are eight classes each and they carry a loadout that has distinct characteristics. The game has three match types that require strategizing.
Zombie Types
Heres a quick look at the Zombies, the arch-enemy of the Plants faction.
The Foot Soldier
Foot Soldiers can use poison cloud that blinds specific areas. This poison can also damage Plants once they come in contact. They also have what is known as the Zombie Propelled Grenade or ZPG. This is a major heavy hitting skill. They may be employed at the very start of the game.
The variant of the Foot Soldier is the Camo Ranger. This type of Zombie can do extra damage when it gets Critical Hits. The second variant is called the Super Commando. This one has a crossbow that proves handy in middle range and long range combat situations. There is a third variant called General Supremo. This one has unlimited ammunition of the Golden Gatling.
The fourth variant is named Tank Commander with powerful mega cannons. That weapon can do lots of damage. The fifth and last variant is Arctic Trooper. The plants get frozen and they can then be easily taken out using the ZPG.
The Engineer
The groups fixers are the engineers and they can also build turrets. The engineers can also ride a jackhammer and arrive into the battle in style. The engineer bear stun grenades as well, which can stop the targets movement for a while. But their weapon is the Shotgun with may be slow, however it is definitely effective.
The engineers first variant is called the Welder. This one can do a lot of damage when it impacts Plants because they can set them on fire. The Electrician is the second variant of the Engineer Zombie. They are very useful indeed for combat. The third variant is the Mechanic. This one can fire nuts and bolts at high speed and take down more than one enemy at a time. The fourth variant is called Painter. This Zombie has weapons that are rather slow. However, they are quite dangerous at close quarters.
The fifth and last variant of the Engineer is the Plumber. It has the same weapons as the Engineer but it uses water as a weapon which is dangerous because of the very large blast radius.
The Scientist
The Scientist Zombie is best equipped for escape. This zombie can warp in between Plants and this could greatly confuse players of the game. When this happens, the Scientist can complete the job from behind the enemy.
This zombie has grenades. Combined together, the warp and grenade features prove to be a potent combination. This zombie can also deploy healing station which heals any damaged zombie that passes through the area.
The first variant is named the Marine Biologist that carries a weapon called Dolphin Blaster. This weapon has a bigger range than the Scientists weapon, the Goo Blaster.
Dr. Toxic is the second variant and its talent is specific to close combat situations. The third variant is the Physicist. Anyone who stands in the way of this zombie gets electrical damage. The fourth variant is the Astronaut which specializes in long range battle. The Chemist is the fifth variant and it has a weapon that is good at close range.
The All-Star
The All-Star Zombie carries with it a large weapon. It has a lot of endurance. It can drop the tackle dummy as well. The tackling is done by lunging forward. This zombie is very scary and it can really do a lot of damage to Plants. It really packs an awful punch.
The All-Star zombies first variant is the Cricket Star. This one fires at the plants. The second variant is called the Goalie Star. This one spouts ice damage and causes the plants to freeze.
The Third variant is called Baseball Star. This one fires a very accurate weapon called the All-Star Weapon.
Hockey Star is the fourth variant and this weapon is capable of a great firing rate. Rugby Star is the fifth variant and it possesses the most powerful weapon in the class.

Team Vanquish Mode
Also known by the name of Team Deathmatch, it can be considered as the starting mode for the Plants vs zombie: Garden Warfare. Its perfect to get the feel of this game. Besides, it can also be used as the means of unlocking the level 2 or 3 skills for each one of the classes, as the no-objective and narrowed focus along with the smaller maps make it quite simple to complete the simpler challenges first.
