A former game programmer, McGee has co-authored books on Microsoft XNA Game Studio and is a recipient of Microsofts Most Valuable Professional award for DirectX and XNA. If you do not have a paid edition, Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 Express for Desktop is free and will run all examples in the book as long as you have Windows 7 or later.
