Practicalities
Money
Banks are closed on Fridays. The best place to change money is at a Al Masraf or bureau de change. If there is no bureau de change around, jewellery shops can also change money. It is easier to change cash than travellers cheques in some countries, but in more tourist orientated countries travellers cheques are not a problem at all. The Egyptian currency is the Egyptian pound, the Moroccan currency is the dirham and the Tunisian currency is the Tunisian dinar.
