About the Authors

Marty Gitlin is a freelance author based in Cleveland. He has had about 120 books published since 2006, including many in the pop culture realm. Included were the Great American Cereal Book , which remained No. 1 in the Breakfast Book and Americana categories on Amazon.com for several months and was featured in Time Magazine , Readers Digest , Wall Street Journal , and New York Times . Gitlin also authored The Greatest Sitcoms of All-Time . During his eleven years as a newspaper journalist, he won forty-five writing awards, including first place for general excellence from The Associated Press. That organization selected him as one of the top four feature writers in Ohio.

Joe Wos has had a long and varied career in the cartoon arts. As a cartoonist he has performed nationwide with his unique blend of storytelling and cartoon arts. He has served as the visiting resident cartoonist of the Charles M. Schulz Museum for the past fifteen years. He has illustrated live symphonies with orchestras throughout the United States. His feature MazeToons, a hybrid of cartoon illustration and mazes, is distributed to newspapers worldwide by Creators Syndicate.

As a cartoon historian, Joe Wos served as both founder and director of the ToonSeum, a cartoon art museum in Pittsburgh. During his seven-year tenure he curated over seventy exhibitions and presented over one hundred programs.

Joe also serves as the historian and brand character integrity consultant for Charlie the Tuna of StarKist fame.
