Special big em up shout-outs to all ego trip contributors and fans past and present. One of us equals many of us. Foe life.

BAWNO.
Ted Bawno's Forward Foreword.

It's been a long road traveled. Rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated. Oh, by the way, for those who don't knowhi, my name is Theodore Aloysius Bawno. But you can call me Ted. (And if your name is Angie Dickinson, you can call me anytime, sunshine.)

I am the original P.E.Publisher Extraordinaire. And I'm number one, baby. My mighty hard-rockin rap magazine, ego trip, is the definitive, arrogant voice of musical truth. What does this mean? It means that there are so many non-kosher slabs of perfect-bound dead trees that scream beats, rhymes and lifestyle, but ain't really sayin jack-squat.

Me? My team? Big dogslike my dear, late pal, The Yankee Clipper, Joe DiMaggio, and his great championship teams of the 40s. Everyone else? Geeky, pen-holding, dollar-and-a-dream-having cracker barrel crackers (yeah, I might be white, but I'm on the Black hand side, ya smell me?). They're riding the whimsical tradewinds of my ghetto Bible like a junkie with a $10 habit on one of those coin-operated kiddie pony rides that you find in front of your local take-out Chinese restaurant. Sure, those might seem like good vibrations, but the truth comes from a special place.
