Praise for Captured!
The Betty and Barney Hill UFO Experience
With the publication of this book, the skeptics wiggle room has shrunk to zero. No longer can they get away with ignoring or minimizing the importance of various details in order to claim they merely saw a light. Instead, the Hills story still stands as a strong reminder that we can't explain everything that happens.
Dr. Bruce Maccabee, author of Abduction In My Life
Captured! by Kathleen Marden and the late Stanton Friedman is passionate and specific. Their initial investigation has now been updated. This new work makes clear that Betty and Barney Hill remain the modern origin story for the entire UFO phenomenon as it exists today. You want to know what the future holds? You can find the first warnings right here in the compelling pages of Captured!
Bryce Zabel, writer/producer, creator of five TV
series, including NBC's Dark Skies, author of A.D. After
Disclosure, and former CEO of the Television Academy
Captured! describes how, in 1961, extraterrestrials interfered with the lives of Barney and Betty Hill by first abducting them into a UFO that had landed in rural New Hampshire, and then examining themjust the way we humans would study captured members of a new species. The book was written by the late Stanton Friedman, a physicist who was also a pioneer UFO investigator, and Kathleen Marden, Betty Hill's niece, who continues to study and describe the reality of ET presence and ET interference in human lives. For well-understood reasons, people with power and influence would prefer to ignore the evidence in Captured! My advice is: read Captured! and don't ignore the evidence.

Captured! fills in many of the inevitable gaps in our knowledge of the famous Betty and Barney Hill case and is therefore a must for anyone interested in the remarkable gestation period of UFO abduction research. It is touching but not surprising to read that the brave and prescient investigators who took the Hills experience seriously assumed that it was a unique, momentous, and isolated event, and never suspected that, instead, it was only the first of thousands of similar covert encounters from the 40s, 50s, and 60s to receive wide public attention. Captured! abundantly demonstrates that the most important aspect of the Hills 1961 abduction lies in their personal courage and integrity in permitting their frightening experience and its later investigation to become public. Tens of thousands of abductees have benefitted from the Hills extraordinary role in opening doors to the serious study of the UFO abduction phenomenon, thus making possible new therapeutic strategies to help treat their traumas. In the pages of Captured!, Betty and Barney Hill emerge, not as victims, but as true, undaunted modern heroes.

researcher, author of Witnessed and Missing Time
With Captured!, internationally known UFO investigator/nuclear physicist/lecturer Stanton Friedman, and Betty and Barney Hill's niece, Kathleen Marden, take the historically significant UFO event of the Hills double abduction and educate the reader with meaningful, typically never-mentioned, rich-in-too-many-to-list details that show the Hills to be blood and flesh, neighbors-next-door type individualsnot merely footnotes in a UFO double abduction case. The revelations of previously little-known personal details of their abduction experience trauma impressed mea hypnotherapist dealing with abduction traumawith the similarity of Betty and Barney's encounters to my own subjects.

Betty's Fall from Grace
After all these years since I first read their story, I still find it somewhat amazing that the aliens didn't know how to operate a zipper and would have ripped Betty's dress off her if she hadn't shown them how to operate it. (Perhaps they had forgotten because it was so long ago in their cultural history, or perhaps they had bypassed the zipper period of development and jumped directly to the Velcro period.) And after all these years I am still surprised that they were surprised that Barney's teeth could be removed, but Betty's couldn't. Did they also bypass the false teeth era? Or perhaps the aliens don't have teeth. So now we know that way back then they didn't know everything. But they did demonstrate their technical superiority by performing on Betty what appears to have been an amniocentesis several years before that procedure was common in Earth hospitals. Well, it seemed to be an amniocentesis, but maybe it was something else far more advanced. Will we ever know?
And my mind still boggles over the way Betty allowed all that pink dusty stuff to just blow away in the wind. It was chemical evidence of the abduction! And then there were the shiny spots on the car with the rotating magnetic fields that were ignored by investigator Walter Webb. What? Did you say rotating magnetic fields in the metal of a car? That's impossible!
