Praise for Paranormal Confessions
Paranormal Confessions is a wonderfully creepy book. After spending a few nights at the Bellaire House and experiencing the spirits within its walls. I can say it's very haunted and still has a few secrets to share...
Johnny Zaffis, paranormal investigator
There is no better tour guide to the mysterious and highly haunted Bellaire House than Kristin Lee. In Paranormal Confessions, Lee takes us room by room, from attic to underground tunnels, recounting the house's history, introducing its ghostly inhabitants and sharing her own experiences and encounters. Paranormal Confessions is a deliciously shivery book.

Intriguing and educational, Paranormal Confessions is a fascinating compendium of the many types of entities, both benevolent and malevolent, that may inhabit a locationor even a person, as with parasitic attachments. Writing expertly from her direct experiences, Kristin Lee scrupulously explains not only the many signs of paranormal activity, but also the causes or reasons that hauntings may occur. Most impressive are her helpful hints at the end of each chapter, which include brilliant protection techniques to avoid both spiritual and physical harm. Paranormal Confessions is now part of my personal working library and will be used as a reference guide for years to come.

I have investigated locations for thirty-five years. I have been to places that are terribly frightening and some that are quite benign. The Bellaire House is a location that I will always hold dear to my heart.
I was able to witness firsthand the activity that Kristin writes about in her book, and, without hesitation, I can tell you that Bellaire House is one of the most active haunted locations that I have ever investigated. I was honored that I was asked to perform the Minor Rite of Exorcism and help my friend.

Foreword
I understand the fascination with the paranormal. Having grown up at the now infamous haunted farmhouse in Harrisville, Rhode Island, I have seen the dark side of existence and I know the sensation of being watched and followed, leered at, and imposed upon by spirits or entities who make their presence known without reservation. Their sense of entitlement is certainly warranted. They never require or request permission. After all, it was their house first, and I suspect the same holds true for Bellaire House.
Perhaps it is this kind of familiarity which explains the immediate connection I felt with Kristin Lee from the moment we met. As kindred spirits, we were instantly drawn to one another. It was unspoken, implicit magnetism. I did not know her back story, nor did she know mine. Instead, it was a certain knowing as our eyes first lockedwe embraced as virtual strangers who knew each other well. At the time, my film The Conjuring was still nothing more than a script, a developing screenplay. The third book in my trilogy House of Darkness House of Light had yet to be published, and Kristin hadn't read either of the volumes already out in the world. Ours wasn't a worldly reunion. A netherworld simpatico is a more plausible explanation for the instant attachment that formed between us, one which could not be denied or ignored.
Over the years we stayed in touch, Kristin and I maintained relatively close contact belied by the occasional phone call or a post on social media. A few words exchanged here and there did not begin to express the engagement. Because of my rigorous travel schedule, it took more than six years for me to make my way to her neck of the woods, at her insistence! As we approached Bellaire House I sensed an eerie uneasiness. Though I had seen numerous pictures of the place, it wasn't that kind of familiarity. I had recognized the back roads of the route we took, yet I'd never been there before. Based on the number of historically haunted locations I've visited, I learned a disquieting lesson long ago: forewarned is forearmed. However, even though Kristin had informed me of the history of the house to a certain extent, it mattered not. I was ill-prepared for what I encountered there.
Of course, the beauty of Bellaire House's antiquity is what first captured my attention. It is nothing less than lovely. Hardwood floors, a fireplace tough to glance away from, and innumerable charming qualities impossible to overlook, it is authentic to its historic past, retaining elements of its original splendor. Yet, within a matter of moments of entering the house, every hair stood up on my body as a shiver passed through me. A spirit passed by. The shadow figure caught in my peripheral vision did not want me there. Feeling unwelcome and a little sick to my stomach, I did not have to say a word to Kristin. The expression on my face said it all. She took me by the hand and walked me toward the formal parlor, as if we could exit the existence of my tormentor. He followed us. Admiring the baby grand piano, I ignored the sensation and made light conversation with several of the investigators who were there to set up equipment for the paranormal event. It wasn't enough of a distraction. He hovered over me as if to intimidate, and it was effective. Before long I had to excuse myself and go outside for a breath of fresh air. Over the course of two days and nights, that became my coping skill, my modus operandicome in, engage, walk outside, and breathe. Goodness gracious, the evil resident was oppressive. There is no doubt in my mind. It was male and it was offended by my presence. It did not want that house inhabited by me or anyone else arriving for the event. Suffice to say, the grim presence I immediately encountered is the most formidable force to be reckoned with, and he was by no means alone. Actually, I got the distinct impression that the spirits there would prefer to remain undisturbed, resentful of those who trespass on their turf and seek them out for reasons of their own. As others conduct historical research and subsequent investigations of the property, the more that is exhumed and revealed.
