Preface
This book is a fan fiction based on Scott Cawthons Five Nights at Freddys video games.
While the purpose of the player is simply to survive through the nights, the creator of the games left clues about a mysterious background story that may have happened throughout the years around the Fazbears restaurants.
As the story is not explicitly told in the games, fans of the games developed their own proposed versions and theories.
This is my version of the story.
Part One
The Purple Guy
Chapter 1
Fredbears Family Diner, 1973
Jeremys eighth birthday was supposed to be his happiest day. He knew Mom and Dad would buy him the purple bicycle he wanted so much, and he knew he would meet with all his friends and eat cake together, but nevertheless he was very anxious.
Something about these Animatronics, with their sharp endoskeleton teeth and nasty smiles, gave him the chills.
Ever since his first visit to Fredbears Family Diner, at Toms birthday party, he could not forget how scared he was when those Animatronics got on stage. For anyone else they were cute singing mascots, but for him they were monstrous.
There was Bonnie - a lavender rabbit animatronic, with his red guitar. Chica - a yellow animatronic chicken who carries a pink cupcake. Foxy - a large red animatronic fox, with a hook for his right hand, and an eye patch over his right eye. These hideous creatures were orchestrated by none other then Fredbear - a yellowish-brown bear animatronic, who wears a purple top hat and a bowtie, while wielding a microphone in his right paw.
The last time Jeremy was in Fredbears Family Diner, he was able to avoid the Animatronics. But today was his birthday! He knew they would get him up to the stage and dance around him.
Last night he even had a terrible nightmare about Fredbear who was biting his head while all the kids were dancing and laughing
When Jeremy and his parents entered the diner they were greeted by a man dressed in a golden Fredbear costume. Golden Fredbear put a purple party hat on Jeremys head and showed him to his table, in front of the stage.
The other kids came shortly after, with their presents and wide smiles. Jeremy almost forgot about the Animatronics, and was playing with his friends, until Fredbear got on stage, followed by Foxy, Chica and Bonnie.
The Animatronics band started to sing and play, and suddenly Jeremy felt a big furry hand clutching his shoulder. It was the Golden Fredbear guy, who grabbed his hand firmly and pulled him up to the stage.
Jeremy closed his eyes. He remembered his nightmare and suddenly it felt so real.
The Animatronics surrounded him and played a birthday song for him.
Theyre just puppets Jeremy told himself. They cant harm me. They are cute and innocent
He tried to crack a smile, but all he remembered was Fredbear biting his head in his nightmare.
Suddenly Fredbear grabbed his hand. Jeremy tried to pull his hand away but the grab was tight and firm!
Jeremy felt his tears pouring down his face and cried, Please! No! Let me go!
Fredbear looked at him and Jeremy felt his sinister eyes burning through his soul. Fredbears hold grew tighter, and Jeremy felt his hand become wet from sweat and blood.
Jeremy pulled his wet hand away and pushed Fredbears face with his bloody hand, leaving a red palm print on the brown bears head.
Jeremy looked around and saw his friends staring at him with amusement, some of them were laughing and pointing their fingers at him. Then he realized he wet his pants and everybody could see the growing stain!
His friends laughter grew louder as Jeremy jumped off the stage and ran to the front doors.
Chapter 2
Fredbears Family Diner, 1983
Jeremy was excited to finally drive alone, unsupervised, in his purple 1976 Chevy El-Camino. He entered his car and drove aimlessly around the empty streets.
It was Sunday morning and the streets were calm and quiet. He felt like the captain of his boat, sailing across red, orange and yellow autumn leaves.
Suddenly he stopped at the corner. On his left he saw Fredbears Family Diner. He did not know how and why his car led him to this place. He had not stepped a foot in there since his horrible eighth birthday, and suddenly the memories came rushing back.
Through the front window he could see a birthday party going on.
He was about to drive away, when he saw a child emerging from the front door and collapsing in the parking lot.
This image reminded him of Fredbears holding and crushing his hand. His heart skipped a beat.
He turned off the engine and got out of the car. While he was pacing towards the little boy, he was not sure whether he felt more sorry for him or more angry.
The boy was crouching on the asphalt, sobbing. His hair was ginger and his skin was pale, but his eyes and cheeks were red and wet from crying.
Jeremy put a firm hand on the boys shoulder. Dont cry, Don't cry! He said, partly comforting and partly commanding. But the boy continued.
Jeremys voice became more restless. Stop crying! He did not want the boy to be ridiculed by his friends. He did not want the boy to be afraid. Dont be a wuss!
Jeremy looked up and saw Fredbear staring at him through the glass doors.
Jeremys hand moved from the boys shoulder to the back of his neck. Stop crying! They are just stupid puppets from a stupid diner!
The sound of crying was gradually replaced by a sound of choking. The boy struggled to release Jeremys firm hand, but Jeremy was stronger, and he was not even paying attention to the boy. He saw Fredbears eyes, he remembered Freddys grip, and he tightened his grip, until a blistering silence woke him up.
