ABOUT THE AUTHOR

R ichard Moreno is the author of ten Nevada-related books, including Nevada Curiosities (Globe Pequot) and A Short History of Reno, Second Edition (University of Nevada Press). He served as publisher of Nevada Magazine for fourteen years and was honored with the Nevada Writers Hall of Fame Silver Pen Award in 2007. He currently works as Director of Content Development at Central Washington University. He resides in Ellensburg, Washington, with his wife, but makes regular visits to the Silver State.
