the year of the dragon. Shes written several books about dragons. She lives in San Diego with her very tall
husband and very naughty dogs.

Imagine a battle between dragons and griffins. Who
would win? Who would lose?
Enter the world of Battle Royale: Lethal Warriors !
Warriors are fighters. This is a fight to the death! The last
team standing is the victor ! Victors are winners. They get
to live.
Opponents are fighters who compete against each other.
They challenge each other. They fight with everything
theyve got. They use weapons. They use their special
skills. They use their powers.
Theyre not fighting for prizes. Theyre not fighting for
honor. Theyre fighting for their lives. Victory is their
only option.
Let the games begin!

DRAGONS
Eastern dragons are called Lung.
Western dragons are from Europe and America.
Theyre powerful. They can also be evil. They fly. They
breathe out fire. They snatch humans and animals.
They live deep inside caves. They sleep during the day.
They hunt at night. They have scaly green bodies.
They have big wings. Theyre greedy. They steal and
hoard treasure. Hoard means to store and not share.
Eastern dragons are from Asia. Theyre smaller. They
dont have wings. They have long whiskers. They have
lion faces. They have snake bodies. They have eagle
claws. They have fish scales. They control water. They
live in underwater caves. They change shape. They
shrink. They stretch. They disappear. Theyre good.
Theyre lucky. They fight evil.
Most dragons make fire. Their fire is really hot. Their fire
can destroy whole cities. Their smoke has toxins . Toxins
are poisons. They make people sick. Some dragons can
also make more than fire. Some blast out acid . Acid is
poison that burns through things. Some blast out ice.
Dragon blood is powerful. Evil dragon blood has poison.
It melts through metal. One drop causes death. Good
dragon blood has healing powers. It heals cuts. It heals
sickness. It makes people stronger. It makes people
healthy. It makes people smarter.
Dragons start out as eggs. Dragon eggs
look like colorful, scaly stones.
Dragons have different powers. Some dragons can
control minds. They can make people do things.
Dragons are smart. They speak many languages. They
speak in riddles. They have super senses. They hear
well. They smell well. They see really well.
Dragons are built for fighting. Their wings have small
hooks. This means they can climb walls. They have hard
scales. This protects their bodies. Nothing can hurt
them. They have sharp claws. They rip. They tear. Their
tails are strong and long. Theyre used to strangle prey.
Dragons have weaknesses.
Theyre not immortal . They
dont live forever. But they
can live for thousands of
years. Over time, they age
and lose their power.
FUN FACTS ABOUT
DRAGONS
Marco Polo was an Italian explorer. He spent over 20
years traveling around Asia. He wrote a book about
his travels. He described seeing dragons. He said, Here
are found snakes and huge serpents ... the jaws are
wide enough to swallow a man.
China has fossils. Some people think these are dragon
bones. They take the bones. They grind them into
powders. Some Chinese doctors use these dragon
bones. They make medicine.
The Chinese zodiac has 12 animals. Dragons are one of
the animals. Its the only mythical animal. The year of
the dragon comes every 12 years. Its a lucky year. People
born in this year are great leaders. They also have long
lives.
Cadmus was a king in Greek myths. He slayed a dragon. He
grinded up the dragons teeth. From this came an army of
fierce men. The men fought each other. Only 5 survived.
GRIFFINS
Griffins have fire in their eyes.
Griffins are hybrids . Hybrids are combinations.
Griffins are part lion and part eagle. Lions are the king
of beasts. Eagles are the king of birds. Griffins rule the
land and skies. Theyre stronger than 8 lions. Theyre
stronger than 100 eagles.
Griffins have a lions body, tail, and ears. They have
an eagles head, chest, and wings. Their bodies are tan.
Their wings and feathers are white or brown like an
eagle. Griffins have the powers of lions and eagles. They
see as well as eagles. They fly as fast as eagles. They run
