Habitat Homes
(Tune: Home on the Range)
Verse 1
Oh, give me a home, a dry desert home,
Where the sun shines most every day.
(Make arms in a circle over head for the sun)
Cacti and yucca plants,
Lizards, camels, and ants
Call the desert habitat home.
Verse 2
Oh give me a home,
A tropical home,
Where it rains almost every day.
(Move fingers down like falling rain)
Vines, ferns, and green trees,
Parrots and chimpanzees,
Call the rainforest habitat home.
Verse 3
Oh give me a home,
A white arctic home,
Where its icy and cold every day.
(Hug yourself and shiver)
Polar bears, caribou,
Walrus, seals, and whales, too,
Call the arctic habitat home.
Verse 4
Oh give me a home,
A tall woodlands home,
Where the trees stand strong every day.
(Hold arms straight up and sway back and forth)
Maples, oaks, elms, and deer,
Birds and squirrels all live here,
Call the woodlands habitat home.
Verse 5
Home, sweet habitat homes,
Where the plants and the animals roam.
Theyre comfortable here,
Anytime of the year,
Theyre adapted to their habitat homes.
