Introduction

This is a book written by men, for men. It demystifies being Male, and explains the various motivations, urges, reactions, and swings that a man will have as he journeys through life. It's not a philosophical treatise or a life-guide, but rather an explanatory work intended to make being a man simpler to understand. Women, although they'll dislike many of the revelations herein, could also do well to seek understanding in its pages.

Throughout history, its been taken for granted that being Male was straightforward business, and that its the female that endured most of lifes complexities. Nothing could be further from the truth. Half a century of new research has yielded startling insights into the psyche of men, and whats been discovered defies much conventional wisdom.

Men, it turns out, are part nurture, and part nature. Their behavior, while varied, tends to follow predictable trajectories, and by understanding the underlying forces that battle for supremacy in a mans head, many seemingly mystifying paradoxes are revealed to be easily explained byproducts of that struggle.

In the modern world, men are bombarded with conflicting messages on how to be Male. Its confusing in the extreme. On the one hand, you have publications like Soldier of Fortune and Hunting and 4-Wheel Country tendering one view, and on the other you have GQ and Vanity Fair and Esquire advocating a polar opposite approach. Bookstores are jammed with self-help guides for women, but nothing exists to move a Male from adolescence to maturity. This void is now filled. For the first time, one book contains all the information necessary to be a man. Finally, men can be comfortable being men, and have a secure grasp on why it is they behave the way they do.

It is thus, with great pride and a certain eager anticipation that I invite you to join me on the journey into the fascinating world of the man.

Chapter 1 Man Explained: The Brain

Men have a unique hierarchical approach to the way their thought processes work. This organizational algorithm changes as a Male ages, however the basics stay roughly the same.

Young Males

The following graph illustrates the basic priorities a young Male will have, organized from top (most important) to bottom (least important), along with relative weighting at any given level symbolized by graphic size:

Sex is the number one driving factor Sex as in penetration not gender Males - photo 1

Sex is the number one driving factor. Sex, as in penetration, not gender. Males want to have Sex, and lots of it, and when they arent being driven by Sex, its likely because they're asleep. Every action is colored in some way by Sex pancakes for breakfast? Wow, that waitress is gorgeous. Should I grab some coffee at Starbucks? Theres a hottie in line Id love to stick. Movie with my girlfriend? Will it get me laid? And so on. As an example, if a Males wife greets him with the news she had a nightmare wherein he was cheating on her in their own bed, the Males instinctive reaction will be to wonder whether the girl was hot. This is antipodal to the womans reaction. Thats because he, being a Male, is guided by his penis, which like a sturdy compass always guides him straight and true towards polar north, which in this case is the possibility of having Sex.

This drive to have as frequent and varied a Sex life as possible can manifest in seeming dishonesty in the Male, as he will tell a woman anything to have Sex. If he claims he wont, hes just saying that because its his best chance of having Sex. As one can see, most of the secondary and tertiary priorities are linked to the subjects likelihood of improving his odds of Sex, thus they really are satellite topics.

Even marginally attractive, old, or morbidly obese candidates for Sex will swing the Male pendulum in the direction of the opportunity. Sex impacts every decision, from career (will I make more money and thus have more Sex opportunities? Does the career offer chances at frequent Sex, like being a musician or actor or mime?) to what kind of haircut to get (am I more likely to get a BJ with this haircut, or that?) to fashion (can I attract a mating partner with these shorts, or those?).

Young Males are 85 to 90% driven by Sex, with all other categories subordinate. This makes sense from a genetic perspective, as having the younger members of the tribe driven to mate as frequently as possible ensured new generations of warriors to defend it. But Mens brains havent changed since they lived in caves, thus the ancient drives and imperatives remain in the modern chemical bridges that directs their actions.

From puberty to around age thirty-five, Food and Alcohol are immediately below Sex as priorities. Thats logical, as without prioritizing nutrition the Male wouldnt be healthy enough to have constant Sex or consider constant sexual opportunities, so adequate food intake is essential. But Alcohol is as or more important than Food, partially due to its intoxicating properties, and partially due to its ability to render marginal sexual opportunities temporarily superior to their true character. When a Male gets blitzed, an ugly skank transforms into an underappreciated beauty, at least for the evening. Not surprisingly, this goes back to supporting a Sex-driven motive.

Young Males require Stimulation, such as engaging in or watching sports, or engaging in or watching pornography. A large and robust appetite for pornography is genetically-driven, as it satisfies both the Sex imperative as well as the Stimulation requirement. Given a choice between watching sports while inebriated or watching pornography while inebriated (or not), young Males invariably select pornography. Even porn with unattractive actresses is preferable to watching tennis, which explains why pornography is a multi-billion dollar annual business, dwarfing traditional film-making. Shaved Asian Backdoor Sluts 4 will invariably gross more than another Shindlers List at a fraction of the production cost, thus genetic drives shape consumer trends. Even Cum Guzzlers 9 or Freaky Fatties 3 will outperform a George Clooney film, so the die is cast for nature to define nurture.

Sleep is a priority, but a slim one, as if one has a choice between staying up all night banging the hotel night check-in girl or getting seven hours of sleep, a young Male will invariably choose Sex. Likewise, given a choice between surfing the Internet until five AM for new pornography or getting a good nights rest, genes dictate a late night vigil.

Finally, the last element of the second tier of hierarchical motivation is Career or Education. This is also linked to Sex, as any superiority in the workplace can be exploited into sexual advantage. By managing a fast food restaurant, a young Male is in a power position over dozens of lithe teenage girls, whereas the fry boy strikes out. By focusing on academic achievement, one could become a professor or teacher, in constant contact with fresh, nubile females during their sexually-experimental phase. Or one could become an entrepreneur who employs a coterie of attentive, subservient young career girls to cross the Ts and dot the Is. The possibilities are endless, and all trace directly back to Sex.
