Author's Note: I chose to write the foreword for this book as I'm just working on the second quarter. As of my stopping point tonight, Alpha Creation has surpassed the threshold to be a novel-length work as a whole. I'm just now scratching the halfway mark for this series, and tonight marks the deadline I had planned for getting book five out. So much for that ambitious schedule. It could have been done, but I wouldn't have been happy with sloppy results for this series.

I've got new respect for people who work on novel-length projects. It's not just the extra words and planning involved. The covers take far more time when they're being painted, and doing a thorough edit consumes entire days instead of an afternoon. After the stylus and red pen are put away, then I've actually got to go through and make the changes to polish everything up.

Thankfully, I'm hoping to get book four at least drafted before I leave for the closest thing I have to a vacation every year. Hopefully published, but like I said, I'm not sacrificing quality to meet an arbitrary deadline. I don't have a publisher breathing down my neck to finish by a certain date.

Don't worry, I'll be taking my portable word processor with me, so book five won't be delayed because of it. In fact, the first half will take place at something like said vacation. There's a reason I'm glad it worked out this way, but you'll see what I mean when it comes out.

But for now, enjoy this maid I've been hinting at since book one. At some point before book four is released, Hayley's origin story, Maid a Bimbo will come out.

Addendum: Now that I'm about to publish this story, I'm hours away from leaving for said 'vacation.' This title took longer than I anticipated, so books four and five will have their rough drafts worked on at the same time.

And as much as I wanted to release it at the same time as this story, Maid a Bimbo still needs a thorough editing pass. I couldn't release it at the same time as this title and feel right about doing so. Time was running too short, and getting this book done properly before release took priority.

I say book five of Alpha Creation is getting worked on at the same time as book four, because a certain set of scenes in part five will take place in a similar setting to where I'll be by the time the first readers get hold of this book. Skipping ahead isn't my usual way of doing things, but you'll see what I mean when book five comes out. At this point, it's looking like a late-May, early-June wrap up for this series.

ALPHA CREATION 3:

CLEANING A MESS I MAID

I'd just finished tapping out an email to an 'expert' on these dogman things. After binging hours of his videos the night before, I knew the guy was certifiably insane. But so was my situation.

If he responds or not, whatever. I was hot off of finishing Maid a Bimbo , so I had a revision session and a cover to get cracking on. It'd at least keep me occupied until Elena got back from whatever the hell she needed my truck for.

Hayley's final appearance had to get hammered out. I pulled up the ImageShop file and settled in for the last tweaks that would take her from a nine-and-a-half to a ten I wouldn't be able to keep my hands off of. The original stock photo featured a girl stuck in the seven range, but 'Shopping photos was the part of my job I enjoyed most. When you're in the business of selling a fantasy, you damn well better make it great beyond the reader's imagination. Otherwise, what's the point in them reading your stuff to begin with?

She was turning out different from Elena, Gina, and the plan for Lauren. With a blonde, a brunette, and a redhead already here or in the works, Hayley had to be something different. Something exotic to make her more than just a random, hot chick in a maid uniform.

Something about an oval face, framed in a short bob sporting bangs, had always done something for me. As I adjusted the color of the black hair to have a touch of violet, inspiration hit me. Why couldn't her eyes be as foreign to what we're used to seeing?

I played with color until the irises made her whole face come alive. Violet eyes it was. They were rare, but perfectly in line with what was possible in humans.

With the face tuned and sculpted like an Italian supercar, I went to work on the rest of her body. In a rare move for my covers, I opted for the perfect handful of a grapefruit for her breasts. D-cups are great, but a graceful C-cup works far better on some women. Especially when they're all of five-foot-nothing. Having to use a step ladder to get into the cabinets while she's wearing that short, frilly skirt would make for some breathtaking scenery around the house.

A quick lengthening of her legs and a little more ass had her dialed in. I can't think of any changes that'd make her any better. Everything from the Cleopatra mascara to the kneeling pose made her look Bond-girl as fuck. The fact that she'd be so petite and submissive made me think of even more depraved things to do to her than I'd written in her story.

Saving the file as it was, I heard the chime for the front and back doors. The commotion in the laundry room told me Elena had come in from that way. I leaned toward the laundry room and asked, So, what's this surprise you talked about this morning?

She poked her head into my office and wiped at the sheer, pink skirt riding high on her thighs. There's two, actually.

I got up and walked around my desk. Once I was in the laundry room, a brown brick the color of cardboard nestled in the empty cat food bowl on the counter caught my attention. I pointed at it and asked, What the fuck is that?

Frank left me a tip.

I looked at the red stamp and knew exactly what it was. No, no, no... I was ready to shit an even bigger brick than the one I was staring at. Please tell me this is a joke.

I don't even know what it is, but Frank told me you'd know how to have fun with it.

For about the tenth time thus far, I wanted to slap her for stepping out of line. I pointed at the feline feeding trough on the counter. One of the bowls is full of fucking cat food. The other is full of enough explosive ordinance to lift a freight train off it's tracks. Fucking why?

She picked up the brick wrapped in brown paper, shrugging like nothing was wrong.

You didn't actually fuck Frank and ask him for advice, did you?

No, but I asked him for advice after you told me to make him think he fucked me. Elena held up a brick wrapped in paper. The stamped 'C4' wasn't something I'd imagined. It was plain as day.

What was sitting on the laundry room counter could have blown the whole fucking house to splinters, complete with a federally mandated ATF investigation as a result. What the fuck is wrong with you?

He's your old friend. It's a bonus, not the payment. Elena shrugged again, a bit less than the last time. How could this thing be dangerous? It feels like a block of clay.

That crazy son of a bitch ! I didn't know how to unload it, because even my shady ass didn't dive into those waters. Still, small amounts of it could probably be useful in getting rid of our groundhog problem.

Elena scrunched her nose up like I was being the unreasonable prick. What's with the angry face?
