I s it possible that the simple practice of gently touching certain spots on the body can not only result in significant reductions in pain and suffering, but promote bodymindspirit healing and health as well?

Moreover, is it possible that this simple fingertip touching procedure can be effortlessly practiced with minimal training, not only by undergraduate students, but yes, even young children as well?

Until I met Paul Bucky and learned about Bio-Magnetic Touch Healing, or Bio-Touch for short, I would have said of course not.

However, in the process of:

1. coming to know (and respect) him and his colleagues,
2. helping them conduct systematic survey research on Bio-Touch, and then
3. directly conducting research on Bio-Touch with students in my classes as well as in my laboratory (then called the Human Energy Systems Laboratory) I became convinced that Bio-Touch was all that they said it was, and more.

Then later, when Paul introduced me to Debra Schildhouse, the author of this beautifully written and deeply meaningful book about the history and promise of Bio-Touch for personal and global health, I was given the privilege of honoring her and Bio-Touch with this justly deserved introduction and commentary.

I should confess that I am a biased writer, not only because of witnessing the replicated evidence emerging from the research, but also from having spent many hours with Paul and his team grilling them on their history, motives, practices, and dreams. As you will see as you read this book, not only are Paul and Debra unusual people (to put it mildly), but the roots of the core Bio-Touch procedures are especially odd. Though I will not disclose any of these intriguing and challenging details here (you will have the fun of reading them in due course), I must acknowledge at the outset that the birthing and evolution of Bio-Touch is anything but conventional.

However, this unique history in no way alters the truth about the ease and effectiveness of the Bio-Touch procedures, nor does it alter the truth about the purity with which Paul, Debra, and certified Bio-Touch practitioners pursue this work. Their dedication is inspiring, and their combined efforts are humbling. And now, thanks to Debras writing of this book, Bio-Touch has the potential to be appreciated and practiced worldwide.
