At this time in the development of the Earth species, the brain/mind does not have a large enough data acquisition and computing capacity to take in the multidimensions of the walkin process. The characteristics of these dimensions would allow for many types of spirit activity on the Earth plane beyond the simple (actually, simplistic) explanation of a single soul unit changing places with another single soul. Spirit and consciousness are more fluid and variable than your world has considered.
We will tell you that spirit guides and guardian angels surround everyone who is participating in these expanded spirit processes. The increasing number of walk-ins at this time is in service to the ascension, or step up in consciousness, of the species. These participants can always call on guides for assistance. We Pleiadians are guides in the project. We are always available and we wish you peace.

Foreword: What Is a Walk-In?
Liz Nelson
February 1997
As founder of Walk-Ins for Evolution (WE) International, an organization connecting walk-ins around the world, and as editor of the WE newsletter, I have long awaited a book such as Welcome to Earth: A Guide for Walk-Ins, Starseeds, and Lightworkers . Aside from a few books that relate the story of a specific walk-in life, there has been nothing as comprehensive, helpful, informative and clear since the world of walk-ins was first brought to our attention by best-selling author Ruth Montgomery.
In her 1979 groundbreaking book Strangers Among Us , Montgomery introduced us to that little-known and little-understood phenomenon called the walk-in. She stated, Walk-Ins are beings who have attained sufficient awareness of the meaning of life so they can forego the process of birth and childhood to return to Earth directly to adult bodies. She claimed that walk-ins have been coming by the tens of thousands, each with a service or mission of use to humanity. And its not a new phenomenon, she assured us: Jesus Christ, Benjamin Franklin, Abraham Lincolnand more recently, Anwar Sadatwere all walk-ins. In 1986 she featured several walk-ins under her title Threshold to Tomorrow . And in 1983 Carol Parrish, named a walk-in by Montgomery, gave us Messengers of Hope . The three books are classics on walk-in information.
Montgomery and Parrish define this phenomenon as an exchange of souls in a physical body. The replacement can take place at any time and under any circumstance. Many souls choose to walk in during a near-death experience, an accident, a suicide attempt, a serious illness, or simply during a quiet interlude. Accidents, sometimes followed by a coma, account for a good number of soul exchanges. The reason for this seems to be that the conscious mind, whose job it is to protect the physical being, is rendered unconscious at such times and the exchange can be made without its interference.
Four years ago, about nine years after I walked in, I started the WE newsletter because I simply knew it was time for walk-ins to connect in order to hasten our work. WE International has uncovered new information that suggests the term walk-in might need to be changed or at least broadened. Before I came to know so many walk-ins, my definition was fairly simple and straightforward: a walk-in is a soul who is invited to complete a life in progress by a soul who wants out or is simply done with the life. This exchange is always for a specific humanitarian purpose and is never forced.
While that definition still rings true, some say their host souls never walked out or that those who walked in were not different souls but merely higher aspects of their own oversouls coming to begin service. Others say they are sharing bodies with other-dimensional beings who are wiser, more spiritual, can see the overall picture, and guide the work to be done. And still others say their bodies have been hosts to several soul exchanges, each completing a task and taking the consciousness higher.
