Contributors

Gillian Arthur is a long term resident of Friuli-Venezia Giulia where she has her own company organizing wine and walking tours. She has collaborated on several travel books including Dorling Kindersleys Back Roads Northern and Central Italy.

Ros Belford is co-author of The Rough Guide to Italy and author of Dorling Kindersleys Eyewitness Travel Guide: Rome. She has also written articles for magazines ranging from National Geographic Traveler to Vogue.

Lucy Ratcliffe is an award-winning travel writer and editor who has spent much of the last ten or more years living in and travelling around Milan and the Italian Lakes.

Born in England, Kate Singleton took a degree in Philosophy in Milan and has lived in Italy ever since. She has written for various publications in Italian and English, including Il Giornale, the Wall Street Journal, The Sunday Times, and the International Herald Tribune, for which she is still an occasional contributor.

Helena Smith is a writer, photographer and editor. She is a winner of the Vogue and Independent on Sunday writing competitions, and author of The Rough Guide to Walks in London & Southeast England. Helena blogs about food and her community at eathackney.com.

Celia Woolfrey is a travel writer and magazine journalist, whose work has appeared in numerous publications including Dorling Kindersleys Back Roads Italy and Back Roads Northern and Central Italy. She has also co-authored The Rough Guide to Italy since the first edition. Celia lives in London.
