Foreword
As a practicing music therapist and a music therapy educator I am aware of music therapists dual needs: on the one hand, we would like to know what to do in our sessions while on the other hand, we want to understand why music therapy works as it does. Music therapy literature often addresses one or the other of these questions.
It is rare that a book brings together these two aspects of music therapy what to do and why to do it. Because this manual does bring together the what and the why, I expect it to play an important role in music therapy and rehabilitation.
