OECD e-PUB editions - BETA VERSION

Congratulations and thank-you for downloading one of our brand-new ePub-in-beta editions.

We're experimenting with this new format and, while ePub is fantastic for books with linear text, for books with charts, tables and graphs weve found some things may not work perfectly it depends on the device youre using.

So, for an optimal reading experience, we recommend:

  • Using the latest version of your devices operating system.
  • Reading in portrait mode.
  • If large tables are tricky to read, try reducing the text size.

As this is an ePub-in-beta edition, we would be glad to receive feedback on your reading experience, good or otherwise, so we can improve for the future. When writing, please let us know which device/operating system you were using and the title of the publication. Write to:

Thank you!

20th anniversary of Polands accession to theOECD

This year wecelebrate 20th anniversary of Polands accession to the OECD.

For Poland, the membership in the OECD is a sign of quality; it also confirms the affiliation to a group oflike-minded countries.

Recommendations and guidelines formulated by the OECD often contain tailored-made advice on how thecountry might want to tackle problems in economic and social spheres.

The OECD isnot just a group of economically significant nations. It is also a policy forum covering a broadspectrum of areas. Poland can share its experience and learn from the practices of the othermembers, how to address current challenges.

The OECDsustains working relationships with over 100 non-member economies. Poland thus benefits from thedialogue and consultations with almost all major international players. It is particularly importantto bear in mind that an increased interdependence and globalisation demand global rules of thegame.

The twentyyears of Polands membership in the OECD is a history of rich and unique, multidimensionalcooperation with the Secretariat and member states. It has engaged different people, involvedsetting foot in various places, covered multiple topics, comprised numerous events and produced avariety of products. All these activities, however, have had one single objective: working togetherto promote policies that will improve the economic and social well-being of people around theworld.

We are lookingforward to further strengthening the collaboration with the OECD and its member states to promotethe OECDs goal worldwide: better policies for better lives.
