Whats one thing we all feel passionately about? Color. Everyone from age two to ninety-two has an

answer to the question, Whats your favorite color? And that response changes as we do. Regardless

of whether we realize it, we are constantly thinking about colorfrom how to paint our walls to what

to wear, plant in our gardens, and apply to our lips. Color is such an important part of our lives and the

source of so much inspiration and vivid memories.

Brittany Watson Jepsens obsession with and attention to color is one of the reasons I became

such a big fan of her style in the first place, avidly following her crafting genius on her must-read blog,

The House That Lars Built.

When Brittany asked me to write the foreword for this book, I was so honored.

For me, choosing a color or colors is where I start when planning any celebration. Brittany brings this con-

nection to another level entirely. Take one glance through the photos in this book and Brittanys creativity

and sense of fun will come through, well, in living color.
