The Center for Korean-American and Korean Studies was established in 1979 as an interdisciplinary academic entity of California State University, Los Angeles. It promotes, coordinates, and conducts research activities concerning Korean-American and Korean studies. The Center also coordinates course offerings in various academic departments dealing with Korean civilization, both traditional and modern, and the Korean-American experiences. The Center sponsors conferences, seminars, symposia, and exhibits, and maintains an on-going program of publication of original research and other materials related to Korea and Koreans in America.
