There are some specific features that should be always followed while cooking Korean food. Firstly, the vegetables and fruits that you take for the dishes should be fresh.

Then you can boil, roast, or bake the components. That is why Korean food is well known as one of the most save cuisine to eat all over the world. One more specific of Korean food is adding a lot of spices. That is why the dish is very hot and fragrant. The most popular spices are chili pepper, sesame seeds, onion, and garlic. There is an interesting fact that Korean food was not spicy in ancient period.

The hot spices came to Korea only in XVI century, when European sailors started to travel this land. Nowadays, there is a tradition to mix as many spices as possible. Exactly this action helps to get a new and incredible taste of the meal. The rice places important role for Korean people. It is served almost with all dishes. It can help to make the balance between very spicy dishes.

Nevertheless, Korea does not put use rice for all the meals as it done in China or Japan. Almost all Korean dishes have soy sauce in the ingredients list. There are no big amount of the warm salads. As usual, the vegetables that were cooked in advance should be chilled and only then added to the salad. There are many vegetarians in Korea; nevertheless, Korean people prefer to eat poultry and pork too. The best spice for any of the meat dishes is soy sauce and soybeans.

That is why a lot of Korean people are vegetarians. Kimchee is one of the most favorite dishes for Koreans. There is the fact that this meal can save people from the extra weight.

Sweet egg sandwich
The sweet egg sandwich is a new generation of the breakfast Korean cuisine. Prep time: 10 minutes Cooking time: 10 minutes Servings: Ingredients: 5 oz. white bread 4 eggs carrot 5 oz. cabbage cup white onion 4 tablespoon butter teaspoon sugar 1 tablespoon mayo sauce Directions:
  1. Beat the eggs in the mixing bowl and whisk them carefully.
  2. Add sugar.
  3. Slice the white bread.
  4. Peel the onion and carrot.
  5. Chop the onion, cabbage, and carrot into the small pieces.
  6. Melt the butter in the pan and roast the sliced white bread there.
  7. When the toasts are cooked transfer them to the serving plate.
  8. Pour the egg mixture in the remaining melted butter and cook it as an omelet.
  9. When the omelet is cooked cut it into 2 parts.
  10. Then put the omelet on two roasted toasts.
  11. Sprinkle the toasts with the chopped onion, cabbage, and carrot.
  12. Then add the mayo sauce and cover the mixture with the second part of the toasts.

  1. Slice the ham and Cheddar cheese.
  2. Spray the olive oil inside the pan.
  3. Preheat the pan well.
  4. Slice the brown bread and roast it in the preheated pan.
  5. Then beat the eggs and whisk them well.
  6. After this, sprinkle the whisked eggs with the salt and ground black pepper.
  7. Pour the egg mixture into the preheated pan and make the omelet.
  8. Dice the onion and chop the cabbage.
  9. Mix the ketchup and mayonnaise.
  10. Sprinkle the ketchup-mayonnaise mixture with the sugar. Stir it.
  11. When the brown bread is roasted spread it with the ketchup-mayonnaise mixture.
  12. When the omelet is cooked transfer it on the brown bread.
  13. Then sprinkle the brown bread with the diced onion and chopped cabbage.
  14. Cover the toasts with the second part of the brown bread.
  15. Serve the dish immediately.

Prep time: 10 minutes Cooking time: 15 minutes Servings: Ingredients: 1 cup rice 2 cups beef broth 3 egg 1 tablespoon butter 1 tablespoon soy sauce 1 teaspoon salt teaspoon oregano 1 teaspoon sesame seeds 1 tablespoon chives 2 teaspoon oregano 2 tablespoon butter Directions:
  1. Pour the beef broth into the saucepan and preheat it well.
  2. Then add salt and rice and stir the mixture.
  3. Close the lid and cook the rice for 15 minutes or until the rice absorb all the liquid.
  4. Meanwhile, beat the eggs in the bowl and whisk the mixture.
  5. Add oregano and chives.
  6. Sprinkle the whisked eggs with the oregano and chives.
  7. Pour the egg liquid in the pan and add butter.
  8. Cook the omelet until it is cooked.
  9. When the rice is cooked sprinkle it with the soy sauce and stir it well.
  10. Put the cooked rice in the bowl.
  11. Then put the omelet over the rice.
  12. Sprinkle the dish with the sesame seeds and serve it immediately.

  1. Slice the shallot and chop the chili pepper.
  2. Mix the ground black pepper and black sesame seeds.
  3. Add salt and stir the mixture.
  4. Grate the fresh ginger.
  5. Toss the butter in the pan and melt it.
  6. Then beat the eggs in the pan and start to fry them.
  7. Sprinkle the chili pepper and shallot with the soy sauce and apple cider vinegar.
