Can you believe it? Im still humbled that people responded so well to Simply Delicious. Ive always promised to demonstrate that cooking great food doesnt have to be pretentious or difficult, and I am as passionate as ever about sharing recipes that can be recreated successfully (and enjoyed) at home. Simply Zola maintains the promise. Following on from the first book, my food journey is ever evolving and this book is a continuation of my life journey expressed through food. All of the experiences Ive had, the new things Ive learnt, the food questions Ive been asked, have helped form the basis for this cookbook. As always, it would not have been possible without the support of great people behind me.
To my publisher, thank you, for having faith in me once again and encouraging me to write a second book. To Bev, thank you, for once again making this process such fun and for tolerating my craziness on set. You have an incredible eye for detail and I was thrilled to work with you again youve spoilt me now, I can never shoot another book without you. Zamo, you are a dish-washing machine, thank you for being the best sister and always coming to my aid when I need you most; it doesnt go unnoticed. To my (crazy) wonderful friends, or my urban family as weve come to call one another, I hope you know how much you all mean to me; thank you for always keeping it real with me (sometimes too real), no matter what. Having you in my life makes me a better person. If the saying you are the company you keep is true, then Im so glad Ive chosen to be forever in your great company. Matanna Katz you supercede the definition of what friendship means, you are one truly special human being and you inspire me daily. Thank you for being an incredible person: friend, confidante, businesswoman, stylist, salsa dancer the list of your talents goes on and on! You are selfless in everything that you do and I love you dearly.
Working with you never really feels like work and I hope to continue to blur the lines between friendship and business successfully with you for many years to come. Thank you for jumping headfirst into this book with me as you did with the first one; I couldnt have done it without you, thank you my angel friend. Sebastian Newman Bassie, you mean the world to me and your willingness to be part of this book has shown me your love for me. My rule when it comes to meals is, eat whatever you feel like its your kitchen, follow your own rules and if its breakfast you want, then breakfast you shall have! I love whipping up breakfast-inspired dishes any time of the day; these are a few of my favourites and they are perfect whether you serve them for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner or even dessert.
