A s an author with a huge following across the social media, it is my earnest desire to share with you the power and effect of the foods you choose to eat or not to eat every day of your life. Over a period of 1 year, I have lost more than 15 pounds/8kg and have also become medicine free just by altering my lifestyle and diet. More than 25 years of my life, I had depended on steroid medicine to assuage a persistent skin condition, Seborrhea dermatitis.

Unknown to several people, there is a connection between all sorts of diseases and the kinds of the foods they choose to eat or not take. My life revolved around one woman, my mother. She is my hero. When I was just 13 years old, my dads employer ran into trouble waters which made them close shop; as such my old man became jobless. One cold night my father disappeared into the darkness, never to be seen again. My mother raised me and my brother.

She fends for us and blessed us with educations that she could only imagine having gotten during teenage years. She stood by me all through my post-graduate studies even when I had started to work and earning enough money to pay for my masters degree. When my mom is in her late 50s, she ultimately got an opportunity to plan ahead for her retirement having labored to train for several years. She courageously began a new grocery store so that she would not rely on us for meeting her basic needs. My mom worked relentlessly to bring her new store to success haven. After some years went by, she decided to close her store.

This decision almost ruined her completely. My mom became dejected and lost her smile because of the sudden changes and the stress she went through. As a never-say-die woman that she had been all her life, she gradually but surely found her feet again. We were so happy seeing her recovering from depression. It is difficult to describe the feelings of happiness that flow through my veins, seeing my mother laughing and coming alive again. It is indescribable! But one sad recurring decimal she had to live with all these odd years was relentless leg pain and back pain.

One side we were happy that she was recovering from the depression but on the other hand, we were sad about her age-long pain as her condition became so unbearable. She went to several doctors with the hope of getting a solution to her devastating pain. Just this last winter, her condition was so terrible that couldnt stand on her legs and she had to the emergency room for a week. With my understanding, I knew that it is possible to turn around her painful conditions with the Anti Inflammatory Diet. In my personal struggle to salvage my health, I discovered and experienced the amazing power of removing highly inflammatory foods from my diet. It is this practice that permitted me to get off the steroid medicine which had been part of my life for good 25 years to ease my chronic skin condition that had plagued my growing years.

I equally aware that by reducing inflammation in the body, muscle and joint pain radically drop off as the body discover its balance. The blissful side effects of reducing excess weight accompanied by glowing skin as a result of the Anti-Inflammation Diet cannot easily be fathomed. To begin with, I place my mom on a few basic rules to change her diet so as to reduce her inflammations. She had to do away with her old dietary habits and began trying a 30-day meal plan strictly based on the anti-inflammatory regimen. For the period of 30 days, we would live on the meal plan that gets rid of inflammatory foods and offered the body with wonderful nutrients. This diet gave the body an opportunity of doing its job of detoxification and renewal to improve and invalidate her symptoms.

My mom had been depending on pain pills and patches to ease her situations for several months. Without wasting time, we began the meal plan to lessen her bodily inflammation. The meal plan composed of organic, seasonal fruits, high nutrient vegetables, organic meat (free of antibiotics and hormones and also loaded with healthy fat) and exotic seafood. I eliminated foods that contained gluten, high quantities of lectin and dairy which are known to increase inflammation in the body. Similarly, I removed all kinds of hydrogenated oils such as vegetable oil and Trans fats from our diet. Licorice roots and fruit became our sweeteners to make dishes mouth-watering instead of processed sugar.

We also drank enough filtered water so as to assist the body in doing its detoxification routine. Physical movement of the body is also a fundamental part of detoxification. Several individuals are not aware that walking is also a critical nutrient that is basically vital for our body to eliminate toxins from the system. My mom chose to walk to Neighborhood Park for her Happy Mood Walks as this will refresh mind and body. Walking is a crucial Nutrient that your body needs to flush toxins out of your system. My mother opted to go to a neighborhood park for her Joy Walks to rejuvenate her body and mind.
