YANIV COHENis the vice president and culinary director of the award-winning catering, design and production company, Shiraz Creative. Nestled in the kitchen as an infant and encouraged to cook as a child, he quickly developed a huge passion for food, along with an increasing fascination with the medicinal properties of food, herbs and spices.

In 2014, Yaniv started a blog and YouTube channel called The Spice Detective, where he shares his love for food, spices, herbs and well-being with the world. In 2018, The Spice Detective collaborated with St. Roch Market to open JAFFA, an outlet for his spice-centered cuisine within the Miami Design Districts distinguished food hall. Some highlights include a hummus bar, deconstructed baba ghanoush and assorted grilled meats.
