About the Author
Sheila Bender has been teaching writing since 1980. In 1991, she published her first book about writing, Writing in a Convertible with the Top Down, co-authored with Christi Killien. A new edition is available now electronically and in print through Libertary.com (www.libertary.com). She went on to publish many more books, including a memoir, Turning to Poetry in a Time of Grief, Imago Press; Writing and Publishing Personal Essays, Silver Threads; Perfect Phrases for College Application Essays, McGraw-Hill; and A Day in the Life: Journaling for Self-Discovery, initially from Writers Digest Books and now available through the International Association of Journal Writing (www.IAJW.com).
