About the Authors

Chris Anderson is a nationally Certified Genealogist, a retired university professor, the author of ten books and two manuals, a reviewer for the National Genealogical Society Quarterly, and an archival consultant.

Ernie Thode is the manager of the local history and genealogy department of the Washington County Public Library in Marietta, Ohio. He is the author of nine books including German-English Genealogical Dictionary, Address Book for Germanic Genealogy, and Genealogical Gazetteer of Alsace-Lorraine. He is an officer in his local genealogical society.

Both Chris and Ernie have conducted workshops and classes in genealogy as well as been invited speakers for numerous genealogical societies.
