Commanders at all levels know that readiness never takes a day off. This is certainly true for our nations military personnel at home and abroad, and it is equally true for those heroes who remain on the home front. These home-front spouses and families need help and hope for their critical role in maintaining strong families and securing our nations future. Ellie Kay has captured this essential need in Heroes at Home, an important tool for spouses, troops, and commanders.

Heroes at Home is uplifting and encouraging. These are more than just words on a page and good tips; there is obviously a love for what our military families and the members serving in uniform do. A Salute to the Hero at Home
W hen people ask me what I do, I tell them that being Americas Family Financial Expert is my profession, but bringing Heroes at Home to military troops and their families is my passion. This book started with an idea to fill the gap in the marketplace for a resource that would help meet a military familys unique needs. Bethany House Publishers had the vision to bring help and hope through this book, which has now become a vital resource for more than one hundred thousand military families around the world.
I want to thank the professional partners who have helped to provide copies of this book for these amazing families, and they include USAA, James Robison of the Life Today television show, my friends at Military Ministry, as well as Andy and Joan Horner of Premier Designs. These partners have purchased and distributed thousands of copies of Heroes at Home with one thought in mind: to help military families with a free gift and a timely resource.
My original editor at Bethany House was Steve Laube, who contracted the first edition of this book. Then he became a literary agent and is now an advocate for the book as well as my literary representative. I want to thank Steve for believing in my work for almost a decade and partnering with me to bring entertainment, encouragement, and education to people around the world. I also want to thank Julie Smith, at Bethany House, whom Ive known for a decade and partnered with in many projects. I appreciate your professionalism, kindness, and the fact that you dont require that I do formatting work (since I dont understand all those styles and forms).
