About the Author
Linda K. Rolie, M.A., has more than 25 of years experience as a career strategist, professional coach, career counselor, and corporate consultant. As the founder and president of Career Services, she has guided thousands of people from diverse backgrounds to successful career solutions and job placement.
Linda received her masters in Counseling Psychology from Lewis and Clark College and bachelors from University of Oregon. Lindas career history includes outplacement assistance for organizations faced with layoffs, owning a vocational rehabilitation organization employing counselors and job developers, university career counselor, academic advisor, vocational specialist and return-to-work consultant for national insurance companies, expert vocational witness for litigation/employability determinations, patient relations coordinator, mental health counselor, administrator/human resources director including recruiting physicians, college psychology instructor, and high school health education teacher.
Linda spent 20 years counseling people with limited skills and mental and physical disabilities before transitioning her services to help highly skilled and motivated job seekers. She decided to repackage her services and to write this book to expedite the transitional process of job seekers in career transition. Her background provides broad experience in job hunting, interviewing, placement, assessment, and career development/management. Linda advises clients in job transition and those coping with change. She provides career guidance, employment-related resources, and workshops/seminars to individuals who want to expand their professional growth, increase success, and prosper in their pursuits.
